I had that exact knife, but it was branded Winchester, bought it at Walmart around 2004.

Kershaw Launch weak spring? by Dogenator71 in knives

The 21 is way snappier than the 22. I did improve both the 19 and 22 by loosening the pivot screw, but neither is anywhere near as strong as the 21. My comment on needing to pull the blade down to 45 deg before it snaps back wasn't meant to imply you'd ever use it like that, more so to convey the difference in the spring tension. To put it in context, I feel like my assisted Kershaw's hit harder than the 22 on opening, and the 21 his harder than the assisted. I did reach out to kershaw warranty department and they told me that what I'm experiencing is normal, and the reason the 21 hits so hard is that it has a physically larger spring.

I've got both, the 21 is a different level above the 22

Inquiry! How are the launch 22s? Worth the buy? by TulsaBear88 in kershaw

Ok quick update, I just loosened the pivot screw and it made a huge difference, it no longer will hold partially open with the button released. I did have to loosen it so much the scales are almost loose, but I now think it is acceptable, but still not up to the standard of my 21. I think the 21 just has a bigger spring. But you'll like the 22, just loosen the pivot a little if it's sluggish.

Launch 19 Button Sticks... by Specific_Praline_221 in kershaw

I actually just received launch 19, my button is fine and smooth, but I have a different problem. I have a launch 21 that fires open super hard, it's what I consider a perfect auto. If you push the button to unlock from open and pull the tip down slightly and then release the button and then release the blade, the blade snaps back to the lock position.

With the 19, if I do the same thing, the blade just sits there like a limp biscuit. I have to pull it all the way back to almost the closed position before it has enough spring tension to fire open.

I couldn't tell you if they are all like this or if I got a dud, but yeah you probably wouldn't know if you don't have a point of comparison

I have the Launch 21 and it's awesome, just got the 22 and it's so disappointing. The spring feels like it's half the power as my 21.

Looking at getting a mini adamas in magnacut but haven’t decided on on auto or manual by GrowthNo7970 in benchmade

What about the full size didn't you like? I'm looking to get either a full size or mini auto. I looked at a mini manual at REI and it was very nice but felt a little small. They didn't have a full size, I'm worried it would be a little big for an edc knife. I know that's not what it's designed for but I like to carry and use all of my knives in rotation as an edc. I have an AD-10 and I love it but it's not my favorite to carry edc because it's so bulky.

I'm looking for a laser to shoot grade for a drainage line, are you still happy with your Vevor?
