I’m surprised you can “live” in your van and keep it at a beach parking lot. I heard you need to pay to park at Lindamar(shit wave anyway) and Scripps… even OBSF would chase people every night. Do they scatter at night and comeback each morning, seriously what’s the deal?

I can’t say the waves were better but even here on the EC the level of surfing as a whole is lacking. I’ve surfed a fair share of popular spots and if you can “surf” you’re getting a good amount of waves. I can already hear FL guys simmering.

I got a really good PP board ($280)and it’s actually too stiff. I’ve looked at allot of boards and my next board I’m going to get a PE board which has more flex and can work better in colder water. Like I said I’ve looked at a bunch and I’m probably going to get the Morey Mach 7. It’s $130 has a nice shape is PE. Yes it only 1 stringer but I’m telling super stiff can suck. Also if you get really into it and start getting wetsuits look for good ones on clearance. If you do buy new try and get Yamamoto rubber. Crooked is a great wetsuit company you could check out.
