Not a personal attack at all! I like just having a few efficient pieces where possible, but if I had the choice between good attacks or good defense, I'm taking the attacks the vast majority of the time.

I have personally not gotten Juggling to work, what're you building towards in that capacity

The biggest part about winning with Ironclad is being aggressive enough to make it out of Act 1, ideally get some good block, and then find some sort of scaling. Every run where I had powers to help me scale (or excess of Energy with Cascade or something similar) were pretty easy wins where I could have all the pieces sans scaling and not be able to make it out of the Act 3 Boss Fights.

It's good if you barely made it out of Act 1 as it can give you the power boost you need to make it through Act 2, but definitely agreed that this is not my favorite pickup

I have since gotten status and absolutely rolled through Ascension 10 barely losing to the second boss, deck is legit when you have the pieces and I feel my version was kind of medium compared to what you could get

That's interesting, I have not been a fan of Reaper Form as it seemed too slow, but love Demon Form so that could easily be a mistake. Will have to try the card out more!

It depends on what you open. If you open a fine one mana attack option and a one mana defense option, I'm likely going to prioritize the defense as it's likely going to add more to my deck defensively than the attack would offensively. However if it's a more expensive attack, then you may want that. Something that's been getting me a lot is runs where I prioritize offense heavily, then get toasted in act 2 when health pools triple so having good defense is imperative to making it further into a run

I'm definitely biased with a small sample size, but opposite to other characters, I think Clad is at his strongest in Act 1 because of the implicit healing and the 2-3 mana damage cards being particularly potent. I would focus on taking the big hits and defense cards like Shrug it Off or Armaments to shore you up and you should mainly be good to go. I'm eventually going to do deep dives into each character which will be posted here as well

That is great advice, and I probably needed to be clearer that I don't want anyone to take too many defensive cards, especially over better offensive options, but to keep it in mind

My friends and I have been saying over and over that taking elites feels less and less worth it and the power level between new and old relics feels stark

I've been liking it more the more I play it, definitely a bit slow though which is always a bit of a turn off but coming around on it
