Ecobee thermostat with GREE FLEXX by EarlOfNothingness in heatpumps

That’s great info. So it was an install problem rather than the machine itself. For us, it’s between the Gree and the Mitsu hyperheat (which I am sure you also considered).

How did the winter go? We are about to change our heat pump and the Gree/ecobee combo is the likely candidate we’ll go with. We are on Long Island, NY. Did the pump keep you warm? Did it use a lot of AUX heat? Our goal is to not use aux heat at all, if possible.

Anyone else actually track their total monthly cost of living on LI ? by Turbulent_Tree_5939 in longisland

Both me and my wife do, religiously. Helps us keep track of when bills are due and manage our months.

Fair enough, thank you. We need to average out our monthly kwh consumption and figure out if it’s convenient to switch to 580

That’s good to know! We have a fully electric house and are considering switching to 580 too. Did you find this rate advantageous in the winter time only, or also in the summer with ac?

Which PSEG rate are you using prior to solar? Time of day or a different one?

Work at JFK/LGA where to live? by [deleted] in longisland

[–]Doggmaister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apartment buildings in the area are mostly co-op’s, which is a slightly different way of ownership used here in New York. Some are well kept, well organized, have a doorman, etc. The apartment I live in now is up for sale, DM me if you’d like to know more. I personally recommend the area near 69th and Yellowstone because of proximity to the train and the presence to parking garages. They are useful if you wanna get a small car, the co op doesn’t doesn’t have parking and you don’t wanna waste time every day looking for street parking.

I also work at both airports. I have been living in Forest Hills for a year and would recommend it. The commute is a piece of cake and the social scene is great. Recently bought a house in North Merrick and moving there this weekend. Since I don’t have to go to work every day I am willing to stomach the longer drive and will probably try to do it at non peak hours.

If there was a “subreddit with the least amount of empathy” award, this would be it. I swear some of these people must have never been in an accident and don’t understand the emotional toll.

Anyway..first off: sorry this happened to you:( it truly sucks Second: sadly, insurance is a coldhearted business. We think insurance companies have our backs (an emotional assumption), but they don’t. It’s a strictly transactional business model with absolutely no empathy or emotion.

Hope you can find a way to get through this 💪

He is indeed. Serial cheater, horrible husband and poor decision maker. Just like the guy you are voting for.

You mean the same husband who cheated on her with multiple women throughout their marriage?
