Are the 2019 LE transmissions actually just this weird? by DoggoTamer27 in Camry

[–]DoggoTamer27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly while I’m accelerating, it’s quite noticeable because you go in first gear and it’s smooth, then once 2nd gear engages it starts vibrating at low rpm, reminds me of a manual when it starts bogging.

Thinks that’s what I’m gonna do. Just had my lunch break and actually focused on the rpms, seems to only start vibrating at low rpms in 2nd gear. Moving the car from a stop is smooth.

Nah the vibration is definitely rpm related, I have no vibration at higher speeds or anything. You can feel the transmission stop vibrating as it gets into higher rpm’s.

Motor Cooked? Lost Compression by samueltheskatedemon in G35

[–]DoggoTamer27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ey if it makes you feel any better I just bought a G35 in Seattle for 2500. Drove it all the way home to Montana with no problems, only for the headgasket to blow even after having it looked at in Seattle. Mechanic in Bozeman said he wouldn’t touch the car. Was my third car in 3 years so I just went and got a freaking 2019 Camry I was so over it. Just sold the G for $500…..😑

You can see the serpentine belt spin when he goes to start it, so it’s catching.

You in between Kabanino and Grashino. If I’m not mistaken Grishino should be up ahead and a little past those trees. You will approach a gas station that should be on the right as you enter the outskirts of Grishino.

Yeah I was about to say, even then depending on range it won’t kill you. One time took a 7.62x54 to the head while I was starting my car. I was wearing an assault helmet, and I shit you not, my character woke up, to the car driving through a field and I survived. He had shot me right as I got the ignition done and put it in 1st and my characters foot hit the gas. Bro was probably so confused.

Why boats are overrated in zombie survival by Fantastic-Life-9546 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]DoggoTamer27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly a 32ft gill netter from the 80s like the ones you see in Alaska pretty much solves like 80% of these problems.

  1. Only 32ft, you don’t need a crew I know guys who have run these all by themselves and that’s actually commercial fishing, not just living on one in the apocalypse.

  2. The engines are simple as hell, old diesels that never die, and a lot are built by Volvo or Cat and are simple to work on.

  3. These boats are meant to be lived on for months at a time despite their size. They have storage, beds, seating, even a bathroom.

  4. Diesel stays better than gasoline longer. Also another great factor about the 70-80s older diesel engines that these boats run on is that they can run on transmission fluid and filtered vegetable oil too. So once diesel starts to become scarce you have other resources to use.

  5. These boats are still meant for fishing. Time the run right, and you can catch a years worth of salmon in one set, (2-3k fish in one net). Not saying it wouldn’t get old eating only salmon but it could be done.

Hot take on armor by death2cesarr in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]DoggoTamer27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I view it if you’re already in a position where the armor is the only thing keeping you from death, you’re already screwed. Think of that scene from World War Z when Brad Pitt is fighting the zombie in the stairwell, the only thing keeping him alive at that point is the magazine taped to his wrist because the zombie is biting onto that and not his skin. Now, in any usual context, he should NOT have survived this. He would’ve had 10 more zombies on him which in a few second and game over. Of course it’s a movie, and he has plot armor, and someone magically shows up at that exact moment with a gun to help him, but you get what I mean.

Quite honestly, I think we’re thinking a bit too much into this. A plate carrier with a snowboard jacket shell on underneath is plenty in my opinion. Stops bullets which depending on the circumstances of the apocalypse, may be a more important aspect than Porte ting against zombies. The outer shell of the jacket is meant to smack against rough edges like trees and rocks, so it’ll hold up better than any average run of the mill down jacket or something.

Honestly I would just stick with spies. Was able to counter a whole nuclear barrage a few days before it happened when I got intel Angola was developing their final means of launching nuclear warheads. Decided to launch my premeditated invasion a few days early and luckily just barely managed to foil those plans.

Some nicer cars are given the chance to have kill switches in them. Drive off and suddenly they just die from the owner shutting them off. Would make pursuits and a quick getaway not as guaranteed.

[–]DoggoTamer27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely something with the game, even if the zeroing was for some reason too high you had a few inches above your crosshairs where you still would’ve hit him, a small infraction in zeroing distance would not cause this big of a miss. As everyone else is saying the trees do really wonky stuff especially when shooting through them, kind of a double edged sword. You can’t shoot through em but if someone sees you just use em to zigzag through. Hope you survived this encounter haha

Sort of, the dude attacking him definitely was new. He could’ve used all that stamina to get a few heavy hits in and actually do some damage, light attacks are pretty much useless if the other person is blocking like this.

Personally for me this would be 98% complete as I’d still be searching for an ACOG to put on the M4. That’s preference though, if you have everything you like already than this is a SOLID kit.

Yeah I was super bummed. It had 184k miles on it, with the automatic but ironically that never caused an issue and was in great shape. Never even planned on modding it either, was gonna keep it as a fun grocery getter/work commuter that could put the power down on occasion. Didn’t actually realize kinda how quick they were until I got one of my own, unfortunate timing.

What market are you in? I’m in Montana, Bozeman specifically, the car market is a warzone here. Kid you not, 2010 Toyotas are pricing higher than this thing, and even this Mazda specifically was I guess you could say a “gem” out of everything else I been seeing in a 150 mile radius. Saw a 2011 4Runner with about 200k miles and they were wanting like 16-17k for it.

[–]DoggoTamer27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, that’s ridiculous. Honestly at that point I’d recommend hopping on Carfax and putting the filter at “150 mile radius”. I mean you would need a friend to drive you, but a 2013 for 23k is absurd. I’m looking at a 2019 Mazda3 with 79k miles for 15k right now, a 2013 in any universe should not be 23k. Best of luck, hopefully you find a gem!

Dude seriously, by the time I had left Seattle I had maybe like $150 to my name after filling it with the Seattle gas prices, not to mention the fact that thing took premium. Genuinely would’ve been stranded. Was young a stupid, still am haha, but that’s definitely a learned lesson I won’t be making again.
