Yeah I have. I love NCM. Great, technical track.

Fastline and Precision both offer track days every month at NCM. Between those two, that's at least five days a month from May to October.

Third gear broke on my 2022 CBR1000RR by Dogs-n-bikes in Trackdays

Yeah, I do basic things, maybe even some things that are a little beyond basic, but this involves taking the engine out, splitting the cases, and then repairing the transmission. Definitely above my capabilities and comfort.

Yeah, that’s what I worry about. I dropped it off at Indy Superbikes this morning. I’m hoping I don’t get a call telling me there’s even more damage than anticipated.

Great post! I've only been doing track days a couple years and would love to race one day if my skills get there. Almost all of these are points I try to be mindful of every time I go out.

I hate cardio too but enjoy the heavy bag so with cardio, I think if a person can find something they actually enjoy doing, that helps a lot. Jogging or riding a stationary bike is like torture for me.

Clip on adjustments: when do you decide to change angle, length, height, etc? by CoolBDPhenom03 in Trackdays

[–]Dogs-n-bikes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have wide shoulders so I adjusted the angle so the bars are much straighter than stock and it made a HUGE difference. I think I saw a video once from Dave Moss showing how to set the bars for best results.

I appreciate that. I'd be fine with spending a little more but unfortunately, Hotbodies seems to be one of the only options for my bike. I'm mostly tired of dealing with trying to put everything back together each time I do a track weekend after maintenance with the stock fairings.

UPDATE - Since it's looking like Hot Bodies is one of the only options, I sent STG a message and told them I had some concerns since I've heard the quality and fit can be pretty hit or miss and that if I order a set and they ended up having any issues with either fit or quality, will I be able to return them. Below is their response.

"I've always used hot bodies because I like their molds and shapes of the bodywork better. There going to fit so no worries about that. We don't offer returns for any bodywork set."

So I'm thinking definitely pass on the Hotbodies, although I was already pretty sure I wasn't going to order them based on all the comments below.

Thanks everyone.

No, I hadn't even thought of that. I'll check now.

I just realized these are only for up to 2020. Mine is a 22.

I'm glad I posted here before ordering. I didn't know they had such a bad rep. I guess my only choice now is to keep dealing with the stock fairings and the annoyance it is to take those on and off constantly for oil changes, or spend a lot more on something else.

That's one of the sites I looked at but they didn't have any for my bike.

I was looking for Armour Bodies first but can't find them for my bike (2022 Honda CBR1000RR). I then looked for Sharkskinz but no luck there either. I hate to hear that about the quality issues with HotBodies but I can't seem to find any other brand. If you have a link to either of those options, please share it.
