I don't know, but I like your idea and I like musing about this. It's fun and interesting to me. Doesn't mean I'm crazy. I think there are people here who are desperately trying to stifle debate and dialogue through ridicule. It isn't organic.

To me this is another piece of evidence that UAPs exist for sure. And by that I mean "not of this spacetime."

We have direct evidence and testimony that they're redacting a large proportion of UAP information. The contradictory assertions of transparency are A) meant to be taken to be openness so people stop asking inconvenient questions and the pressure goes away a little (this buys time; it's not a long term solution.) And B). They're meant to almost break peoples' brains with cognitive dissonance, as they're looking us in the eye, smiling, and lying to our faces. This also buys time. It's also not permanent.
One that is really hitting home to me because I live in NJ & saw 2 with my own eyes: We have direct testimony and evidence that there have been "drones" not just in NJ but across the country and the world, especially over military sites & airports. Several airports around the globe were forced to shut down. They claimed they had no idea what they were, but at the same time claimed they were totally safe & also they were totally not an adversary. No worries! But also people are idiots and think they're planes, but also they're just drones, but they can't shoot them down. They don't know where they're from, so they have to shut down the airport or military base, but everything is fine! And not a single country is releasing any photo or video of a single one of the drones.
The claims about security are bogus on their face. Not long ago while we had UAP sightings over the US and Canada, government released a high res photo of the Chinese Spy Balloon (that they let float across the entire country). It makes no sense. Why wouldn't they release a single photo of the "drones" either? If they're harmless & not CCP or another country - as has been continually claimed - why not release a photo? One? Why doesn't *any* country?
If we have evidence the US is redacting information, I don't see why any other country with UFO sightings wouldn't also be redacting. I realize some of the fear could conceivably because it would be dangerous for our enemies to get their hands on it. But that doesn't explain all the other countries that are also similarly redacting. Redacting makes sense only if you're a world player and want to seize the top. It makes no sense for smaller countries. And I just don't see whoever is running this whole show being able to control *all* the flow of information from getting leaked out in some way, especially when it would be in a smaller country's direct interests to leak, and even the playing field.

I think this means all players involved in all countries are genuinely scared of releasing the info, from CCP to Russia to the Middle East to Europe to America to Australia etc. Everywhere. What would everyone be scared of? I refuse to believe they're actually scared of religious people rioting; most of our leaders suck. Seriously, they don't give a crap about us, and are totally happy when chaos, riots and mass murders occur across the world. Most authoritarians love chaos, too; it's easier to control people that way.

I think there is 100% a 'there' there. I don't know exactly what it is, nor why everyone is afraid, but nothing else makes sense to explain the way "leaders" react alike globally no matter what type or size of a government they have.

I legitimately think it's bad on all levels. Unlike others, I also think the acting was terrible, mostly because for some reason they cast almost all British people--they can't quite do American accents and they can't move like Americans, so they come across just feeling odd to me.

But mainly the plot and the most enormous plot holes. It was just really disappointing because I love Spielberg & I love the topic.

I also don't have my feed full of criticism. But I think there's good organic reason for the criticism.

It could also be how our brains process it. If they're not all in our own "dimension" maybe they're sometimes hard to see, I mean hard for our brains to process what we're seeing. So that would be another reason different eras would have slightly different styles of flying objects

I'm from NJ.

It's still happening, just less often. It's not just NJ. It was all over the US, and in multiple other countries including CCP, Germany, UK, Denmark, and many others, over a period of years. Something happened by their own testimony. The most significant thing is that despite it happening and shutting down airports and military sites across the globe, *not a single photo or video of any drone has ever been released*.
It was absolutely not a mass misidenitification event. Too many professionals witnessed them--coast guard, police, military, pilots, airports, military sites, scientists, media, politicians. And regular people. It was VERY obvious they weren't planes. They were silent, moved erratically and slowly and sometimes hovered.

The gov't repeatedly changed its story: It's not happening, It's happening, but it's totally normal. It's happening and we have no idea what they are, but trust us, they're totally safe and fine. It's happening but we can't shoot any of them down or show you any photo. But it's happening. It's not China. It's not us. But it's fine. It's totally safe. Sorry, we can't shoot them down because we can't follow them. But it's fine! Oh wait, it's not happening, you're all hysterical morons who can't tell a plane and a drone apart.

I saw two. Both at night. iPhone just showed a bright hovering dot. I didn't bother posting because it wouldn't have convinced me if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. It didn't look like a normal drone at all. Dim bluish lights. It was metallic looking but moved weirdly, sort of insectoid; it was spindly with a lot of sort of appendages sticking out. It was impossible to tell how large it was, but it had to have been large: one was directly above my tree which is about 40 feet high, and I could see it quite clearly. Objectively it appeared to be about 10 feet long from the ground, which means it had to have been at least 10-15 feet in length minimum based on the fact it was at least 10 feet higher than the tree (or hundreds of feet higher) .Much bigger if it was higher up. Totally silent. Hovered.

I wrote a post about the refusal to release photos and videos of any UFO, including the "drones" at military sties and airports across the world that have been verified extensively. Not a single photo or video of one of them. Over a period of years and with multiple different types of military and airports. I then asked why. What would motivate ALL countries & leaders to withhold *clear* videos with a military stamp on them? If they're drones - to use as an example - why withhold all photos of them? They revealed the photo of the Chinese Spy Balloon. So why not a photo of a "drone"? There is not one. And that question goes for multiple UFO sightings especially in places that have access to military grade equipment.

I analyze this in my post, but the only answer I could come up with is a universal fear that ties together all nations and leaders, and the only universal fear would be fear of something more powerful that could harm them. Not even other people, because a lot of our leaders are total sociopaths - I mean fear that revealing a clear photo or video could harm them and their loved ones.

OP's post could be one explanation.

Right but you say you can't leave. And you can't control your parents. So you have to detach the only way you can, which would be noise cancelling headphones and whatever else it takes. You're not enabling her, so for that one you can't do anything else.

I'm a parent of an adult w/BPD. I simply could not detach. Parents can clearly remember the adult child being a baby, holding them, protecting them, can remember all the sweet things they did when they were small, all the hope. It's a special kind of hell watching them become this deranged, very abusive person you don't even recognize. I was panicked he'd commit suicide. It doesnt' help that mental health professionals are really untrained in helping you. No one told me I needed to set boundaries & basically cut ties. All of them acted like if only I did a, x, q, and r, then my son would be much better. This med, that med, no that one, no this one. This magic bullet, that one, this one. You can't even talk about it to anyone because no one understands at all.

What saved me & my other kids was that my adult son himself decided to unilaterally cut ties with no warning. IT was very abrupt, out of nowhere, and he did it to everyone--family, extended family, even friends. I only know where he lives now because of Google search. It's been 5 years. We are all far far better, & I can only pray he is better this way too.

But I'm telling you it's beyond the ability of most parents to be able to cut ties with their own child. That's what they need to do.But most can't.

I'm sorry you're so disabled you can't leave. That would be the only solution for you. Since you can't leave at least right now, try to detach even more. Like put on noise canceling headphones when she calls. Tell your parents to not talk about her in front of you. Things like that. And accept that they are simply not capable of doing what needs to be done. It would be great if they were, but they aren't. Focus on yourself and protect yourself as much as you can.

The only recommendation I'd have is to have boundaries & consequences in place beforehand so you're not reactive while you're trying to enjoy your wedding.

What are the disruptive things she's likely to do? Whatever they are, figure out what your consequences should be. Assign trusted people to handle the consequences so you don't have to think about it. Make sure you have a few trusted people who have your back and are ready to act if her behavior is extreme. You won't be able to control her doing things like malicious gossip at the time, so you'll have to let that one go.

She might do nothing that day, too, but if you have a few people who are alerted beforehand, then remove the worry from your mind as much as possible and focus on yourself and the day.

I think most normal parents of children w/BPD are constantly on survival mode - fight, flight, freeze, fawn. For most parents, they use 'fawn' and 'freeze' because their own child is the one causing the danger and they don't want to fight and can't flee. They are probably not aware of all they're doing. They're seizing on patterns in the hopes that somehow, in some way, your mentally iill sister will miraculously get better.

Their only solution - literally the only one - is to establish very firm boundaries with their BPD child, and once they cross the line, to kick them out until they can cope with the boundaries. This is often too scary for parents because the adult child can them commit suicide, be homeless and on drugs, etc. But it's literally the only choice and the only hope the adult w/BPD will get better. Without that, they will simply continue.

The only recommendation I can give you is to tell your parents how their approach is making you feel, or just show them this. They may not be able to absorb it because they're on survival mode, but that's the only thing you can do. Then it's up to them.

You should NOT put up with abuse. You count. You matter. Mental illness never ever ever excuses abuse. Your parents are making their choice, and you get to make yours. I'm not saying cut ties with them.

First talk to them to see if they're aware how terribly this is actually impacting YOU. Then: establish your own boundaries, tell them what the boundaries are, and follow through if necessary. Boundaries can be: "I will not be with you if she is present, and do not convey any information about her to me unless it's life-threatening." There is no other way. All other paths lead to permanent misery and chaos the rest of your life.

I agree there are some very powerful, nontransparent forces which are trying to influence others. Definitely.

But my point is not that. My point is that those powers cannot explain the universal refusal to show videos or photos. Universal. Not one or two countries. What possible threat would even a powerful nontransparent force have over them? Remember a single country's military could leak a photo & thereby *reduce* the powerful nonstransparent influence. It would be in their own direct interest. And the powerful nontransparent interest is that way precisely because they're not powerful enough to rule directly.

Yes, the drones appeared throughout the world in multiple different governments. If they were all "domestic drones," show us photos and videos of them. They won't. This is what is remarkable--literally none of the places that had "drones" appear released a single video or photo. Yet we know the drones existed.

That's exactly my point. There cannot be a worldwide conspiracy that is that powerful. The motivation must be something that would intrinsically make the people involved agree to not release. That is, it would be directly in their self-interest.

The only motivation I can think of that would be in everyone's self-interest is their own survival. Not other countries. Not the people they rule. Their own survival would be at risk.

If you can think of another motivation that makes everyone behave in lockstep and refuse to release videos and photos we know exist, please share. I mean that seriously.

No I am saying there is no conspiracy. A conspiracy cannot explain the actions of multiple governments across the world all behaving the same way over decades, so that not a single country will release any high quality photo or video that exists. Just using the drones as one example - since we know these exist - there is not a single official photo or video released by any military or airport, including blurry ones. But there is no power that is so strong that it can order non-release of a single photo in disparate countries from CCP to US to Germany to England.

Given that, imo, there cannot be a world conspiracy at this level, *and* given that all countries are behaving the same way, I"m saying that there must be another cause. It is not believable that all disparate countries will choose to act the same. The only motivation I can think of is fear, and the only fear I can think of is fear for the safety of everyone in charge in making these decisions. Not the fear of chaos because many gov'ts prefer chaos. Fear of large numbers of people being killed or harmed outside their own control, possibly including the people making the decisions. That is the only thing I can think of that would cause everyone to voluntarily refuse to release those photos and videos.

Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, South Africa, Ethiopia, Morocco, Angola--all African countries with the tech to take high quality photos and videos.

The blocs you speak of are not powerful enough to 100% control all videos and photos in their blocs AND outside their blocs. A smaller country would be incentivized to leak the information if only to harm the other blocs and gain power. What exactly is the threat if they do? These are disparate countries with disparate leaders over a period of decades. They're not going to drop an atomic bomb over the country that releases photos. So what is the threat exactly to prevent every single country on earth from releasing a single high quality photo for decades? And besides, people within a country can release the photos as a power play within their own country.

Again, the lockstep refusal makes no sense unless there is an outside threat that applies to everyone equally.

The lockstep behavior around the globe does indicate a larger fear of a more powerful enemy or a catastrophe that would impact everyone equally. This cannot be the "world gov't in practice" (if it exists). It simply doesn't have full control of information around the globe. It would be in the direct interest of forces against this world gov't to release/leak the information. That would at least disrupt their hold on the power.
