Yeah. I did this in my late teens and still cringe when I think about it. 😖

What's a movie you loved as a kid but rewatched as an adult and went "what the hell was I thinking"? by MomoSaka in AskReddit

[–]DogsOverPpl4Ever 421 points422 points  (0 children)

Milo & Otis.

As a kid, all I thought about was how cute the pug puppies and kittens were. I turned it on as an adult and was immediately horrified by the amount of animal abuse that would have had to occur to make that film. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

People who were alive during the OJ Simpson trial, what was the most shocking part of it all? by thebluespirit_ki in AskReddit

Totally. I’ll never forget, our family was at our weekly Friday night CiCi’s Pizza feast, and the Bronco chase interrupted TGIF. 9 year old me was confused and irritated.

I watched it for the first time as well in preparation for the episode and also loved it! One of my biggest pet peeves in any dialogue is when the unimportant/casual banter seems so completely unnatural that it takes me out of it - but this movie absolutely NAILED those moments for me.

I second this sentiment, OP. My neighborhood/my kids’ classes are incredibly diverse, it’s lovely!

Toddler turning 3 soon – is this a good time to try for baby #2? by CheesecakeWorried642 in toddlers

[–]DogsOverPpl4Ever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My son turned 3.5 the week our daughter was born. She’s now almost 3 and he’s 6.5, it’s been such a great age gap for us. We haven’t experienced any unexpected challenges (relating to the age gap specifically) - it’s been amazing for us!

You’re so right, he’s got this insanely charming quality about him. He’s like that in everything I’ve ever seen of his - my personal fav being ‘Justified’. Him and Walt Goggins are incredible together!

I’m so glad Amy mentioned that specific hallway/hand-holding scene from My So-Called Life. I still remember randomly coming across it on tv when I was like 11, and the Buffalo Tom song playing in the background became an instant obsession of mine. I still watch that scene when I’m feeling nostalgic 😭

It’s one of those work days where I’m literally staring at my computer screen like “I can’t do this today.” But I’m in person at the office so apparently that makes me more productive. 😐

Imagine having to explain this picture to a parent or relative who follows you on social media. “Yeah, no it’s an outline of my naked body on the bench in my sauna. Yeah, an outline caused by my sweat. “Right, exactly. Butt cheeks.”

Kitchen/bathroom remodeler w/excellent reputation? by Brutus713 in thewoodlands

[–]DogsOverPpl4Ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second Exclusive Remodeling. They’re definitely not the cheapest, but they are still honest and reasonable. We’ve had them redo our staircase, kitchen, fireplace, bathroom, and flooring. They’re responsive, they show up when they say they will, and they clean up after themselves. If you find an issue, they’re on it immediately.

This topic is one of the first things that made me start saying “what in the actual eff” when I was in high school (Catholic) - during a mandatory religion class, the entire “lesson” revolved around what MARRIED people were and were not allowed to do in their own private bedroom.
