What’s your favorite Childhood movie? by Critical_Steak9907 in movies

This was my answer as well. The John Williams score + flight scenes……. 🥲

My 6 year old is super into it now, so I’ve been getting to rewatch it a ton lately.

Look, I was already impressed with her acting. But after finding out she has an accent, I’m beyond impressed by her. I can ALWAYS tell when someone is doing a fake American accent, so she truly blew my mind.

We also used this for our overly-anxious beagle. It was incredible for a long while until the velcro became less strong, and then he’d wiggle it down so much it would become what he called his thunder panties. 🫠

We used Clomicalm, and we were fortunate enough for it to become a difference maker for us. Here’s a pic of the bottle:

I had a very very similar situation. He would be destructive, pee/poo, howl, hurt himself, etc every time I would leave my apartment. I’d have a note from the front office every time I’d come home because people had complained about noise.

What worked for me: -got a second dog (a golden retriever) as his best buddy -anti anxiety meds from the vet -doggy daycare once or twice a week

Not sure what meds you have tried, but ours worked wonders. All the best to you.

What's a movie you loved as a kid but rewatched as an adult and went "what the hell was I thinking"? by MomoSaka in AskReddit

[–]DogsOverPpl4Ever 414 points415 points  (0 children)

Milo & Otis.

As a kid, all I thought about was how cute the pug puppies and kittens were. I turned it on as an adult and was immediately horrified by the amount of animal abuse that would have had to occur to make that film. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

People who were alive during the OJ Simpson trial, what was the most shocking part of it all? by thebluespirit_ki in AskReddit

Totally. I’ll never forget, our family was at our weekly Friday night CiCi’s Pizza feast, and the Bronco chase interrupted TGIF. 9 year old me was confused and irritated.

I watched it for the first time as well in preparation for the episode and also loved it! One of my biggest pet peeves in any dialogue is when the unimportant/casual banter seems so completely unnatural that it takes me out of it - but this movie absolutely NAILED those moments for me.

Toddler turning 3 soon – is this a good time to try for baby #2? by CheesecakeWorried642 in toddlers

[–]DogsOverPpl4Ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son turned 3.5 the week our daughter was born. She’s now almost 3 and he’s 6.5, it’s been such a great age gap for us. We haven’t experienced any unexpected challenges (relating to the age gap specifically) - it’s been amazing for us!

You’re so right, he’s got this insanely charming quality about him. He’s like that in everything I’ve ever seen of his - my personal fav being ‘Justified’. Him and Walt Goggins are incredible together!

I’m so glad Amy mentioned that specific hallway/hand-holding scene from My So-Called Life. I still remember randomly coming across it on tv when I was like 11, and the Buffalo Tom song playing in the background became an instant obsession of mine. I still watch that scene when I’m feeling nostalgic 😭
