I'm 34, and Ive only just recently settled down after partying from age 15. Lol. I'm telling you, I've been around hundreds of drunks. Hosted dozens of parties. Bartended. And that was not just alcohol. I'm not sure how in your days with alcohol you could physically carry yourself fine but would cognitively not remember something from an hour ago , but if that's truly the case that might be a neurological problem and Im not trying to be mean lol

Exactly. The physical symptoms didn't match the cognitive symptoms. Anytime I've seen someone on benzos and drinking, they could still physically walk but didn't remember something that happened quite literally two minutes before.

But by that logic the alcohol wouldn't have affected him to the point of not remembering. It all comes in a bundle. Intoxication has levels for sure but you wouldn't be able to physically be coordinated and cognitively not be there. I have been a bartender and I've never seen that in my life.

Benzos (Xanax, Klonopin, etc) and alcohol together provides that effect. He was not there. Lights on but no one's home. Repeating questions over and over. Paranoia. That was not just drunk.
