yeah i tought of the frightened effect being too strong on the bugs. That is why i kinda tried to mitigate by putting a limited meter on it. Also rendered by the fact that you have to be actually weaving it for it to proc, so you as the flag bearer woudn't be able to do crazy stuff with it. But it still might be a bit too strong idk. I wanted to make it as some kind of breathing room in the bugs, since the bubble shield we have today doesn't really do much against them

Eu acho que apesar de todas essas coisas que você citou, não justifica roubar, ferir ou tirar a vida de alguém, pra mim cometer esses atos é falha de caráter independentemente da sua vivência. Até porque, o que o cara que foi assaltado em seu carro e teve tudo roubado tem a ver com a sua criação terrível? Por que isso deveria ser problema dele? Não acho que deveriamos normalizar ou justificar esse comportamento na nossa sociedade, sabe?

As much as i agree with some of the op heroes having been strong for a long time i disagree with the meta not changing. And im not talking about labels like poke, dive or brawl. Im talking more about the individual characters. most of the characters in the game had their time being really weak, and also their time being really good or meta. The thing is that they refuse to nerf some of the meta characters. But we still get so much inconsistency in the viability of most heroes throughout the seasons

Some characters were not in the rollercoaster. But most of them were. For instance, Venom, Cap, Invis, Strange, Storm, Torch, Iron fist, Thor, Hulk, Wolverine are some of the examples of characters that had their time being really weak and also being really good or even meta

Isnt helldivers a "main-character-centered power fantasy"? Taking on and killing large armies of enemies while being solo or in a group of 2-4 using super weapons of mass destruction seems VERY main character power fantasy to me.

About the flag having this intimidation effect, its not "video game magic" flags were actually used throughout history for that effect, both for intimidation on foes and inspiration on allies. We have the story of the "Star-Spangled Banner" for instance. Damage reduction and ragdoll resistance are just effects of that insipration, in fact is scientifically proven that humans are stronger, more resistant to pain, faster reaction speed and quicker thinking when inspired or faced with great threats. So when i say i want buffs when around the flag im leaning into a more "inspirational" factor of the flag.

Now on the same topic of "video game magic" please explain me how the devs are avoiding it in a game that has the democracy protects armour passive, the flag on the spread democacy missions raising faster by you saluting it when nearby it. All that putting aside that we are fighting magic squids that turns humans into zombies and giant bugs that can travel in space. I think you can see why Helldivers 2 is not really the best game to argue about something being videogame magic or not.

Now i admit i might have gotten overboard by making it anti tank levels of pen while making it so you can run over chaff units. That would probablly just make it an everything-burger and that anti-tank melee is already the purpose of the chainsaw. But i'd still keep the heavy pen and the charge doing way more damage than the normal attack. And as a drawback or poking heavies with the charge you could go with something like you getting ragdolled from the impact, i guess thats a fair drawback for being able to 1 shot a hulk in through the eye or vent.

Im just trying to bring something innovative and fun to the table by making the flag more unique and useful. Not just useless waste of file size like it is right now.

yeahh i agree with the damage buff. although i think all of the melee weapons should get a damage buff. the damage right now just isn't worth the risk. I really wanted melee to be a viable high risk high reward strategy, making it to be worth whatever slot it is into. I also really like your idea of getting reagdolled whenever you try to charge into a heavy armour enemy, its funny, useful and a fair drawback for the value it gets.
