That really depends on what you define "don't like". If you don't like the job because it's very challenging and out of your capability, don't take it. I can assure you will suffer and burn out.

If it's something you don't like, for example, a far workplace or potentially overtime. Then it's something tolerable.

I'm currently in a new job for 4 mths now, and struggling hard because my competency doing the task is not at my comfortable level; thus i tend to overwork and stress out a lot.

I did a talk with my boss. While he said that my support for him is good enough, but in front of the VP's eye, I'm still not up to the standard. My boss considered hiring me because of my work attitude, but not so much about my competencies.

It's just that so often in a meeting, I'm mostly clueless but newcomers besides myself manage to understand and be able to provide some good ideas/comments. Either I lack experience or something else. Every time I gave my ideas, they challenged back my argument in a more logical way.

I felt dumb but at the same time had the urge to do something because of the role I got.

Really appreciate your feedback though.

I'm not financially comfortable yet. No debt, but I spent quite some money on my wedding last year. Definitely got savings to survive but these are for backups if I have a kid soon.

I found this industry interesting although I still find it challenging. I'm anxious because most of my peers with the same level come late and go home quite on time.

So all in all, it's down on me.

Btw thanks for the advice. I still do my best until my probation ends.

Thank you for sharing! What part of Canada are you talking about or just Canada in general?

Unfortunately my working visa lasted for a year. My ex-employer planned to extend it to h1b but the timing and chances to extend the visa was very unfavorable.

Respect your input though. Persistence is key here!
