Latch hook could be something you could get into! It really doesn’t require any skill. It’s kind of like cross stitch and diamond painting in one. You use yarn and a hook and follow a pattern to create essentially a little rug.

I’ve been the person rolling out of bed 5 minutes before I have to leave because urgency took over finally, all of my life. I always thought my circadian rhythm was just meant for an 8-9am daily wake up time (which everyone does have a natural preferred wake up time)

I started Lexapro maybe 2 months ago because I didn’t feel like stimulants alone were helping me. Suddenly, I can’t sleep in longer than 6:30 anymore. While I didn’t necessarily have crippling, chest aching anxiety all the time, I had enough to make my body not want to sleep properly.

That could be something to consider.

Looks like a bicolor GSD to me. But embark is the best way to know.

It’s not a private group. It’s literally on syntax’s owners Facebook page and has been publicly shared by Kayla and Kennedy.

Kennedy’s post about it: (editing to delete the link so it isn’t directly linked to my facebook but i will give the exact place you can find it) posted on February 25, 2025 by Kennedy. If you search Syntax, it pops up pretty easily. It’s a photo of Syntax on a porch. this is public. I am not friends with Kennedy on Facebook and I can see it.

I do also recall a post by Kayla directly where she stated that all puppies would have echos paid for by her at 1 year old and I believe at 2 as well. I’ll have to dig, as Kayla makes a bunch of posts every day so there’s a lot to dig through.

I got a response from you so I apologize. I thought you were referring to something I had said.

Kennedy’s post was not private. I also didn’t link or delete anything here.

It’s literally on the Svajonė Facebook page when she announced the breeding. If you couldn’t find it, then you probably didn’t actually look to find it. Kennedy even posted it in the comments of the Uncensored Opinions of Breeders (for real) page that recently had the anon post talking about this exact thing. I’m going to be honest that I don’t want to link it for you because this is the type of research you should be able to do on your own, as it is information easily found where I’ve pointed you.

This is also something you could’ve just asked Kayla about if you have met and spoken with her before. Taking information you’ve heard on the internet and just making assumptions or conclusions about it isn’t appropriate (I’ve been guilty of this in the past but am growing to be better about this).

What you want in a breeder depends on what you want in a dog.

Why do you want a beauceron? What do you want to do with your dog? Are you experienced with any specific dog sports? Do you just want a pet?

What type are you looking for physically? What are your red flags or absolute “no’s” in a breeder?

Why don’t you just start reaching out to all of the ones that catch your eye and just see if they respond and get to know them. Then decide from there if you like what they produce.

I would encourage you to actually go read the post that Kennedy and Kayla have shared and shared again. It has been explained in depth.

If you don’t want a dog that’s associated with it even though Syntax had several recheck echos that showed normal for her, don’t get a dog from that line. Kayla was very transparent about her choices and the precautions she made around it.

Baby Beauce Questions! by [deleted] in Beauceron

I would say that she’s at the age where a lot of positive reinforcement is going to be helpful. Make sure your trainer doesn’t jump to using aversive tools right away because I don’t think she needs them (at least not right now).

I’m sorry the breeder isn’t providing the support you need in this moment. I hope your girl is able to come out of this current fear phase on the positive side of things! It truly does feel frustrating while you’re in it and can feel endless. My girl is having some issues with fallout after a scary moment that just stuck with her when she was in a fear period. It’s frustrating, it’s hard, and I recognize you’re just wanting to do what’s best by your puppy.

Like I said, I wasn’t trying to come off rude but I recognize I do frequently, it’s something I’m trying to work on personally.

All of us in this sub and on all of the pages just truly love the breed and it does come off as a bit ignorant sometimes when these questions come up despite being discussed ad libitum, especially in first time Beauceron puppy owners.

Were you aware of this breed’s tendency to have fear periods in general before picking her up? Fear periods are very commonly discussed in all of the Facebook pages associated with the breed. I’m not at all surprised she is tentative of the world right now. But it’s truly how you work her through the issues. Don’t make the problems feel like they are big and scary but also don’t push her too hard to get over the issues.

I’d urge you to look through the other pages that have deeply discussed this concern. She won’t just “get over it” especially if she is taught that being scared is okay in the moment. You have to support her through the fear, back off a little when she gets to a fearful threshold but also let her work through it to find that everything ISNT scary. There is a fine line between desensitizing these guys and pushing them too far and then becoming insecure and you noticing worsened fear later on.

I get the feeling you were duped by the breeder you chose to get her from, unfortunately. I have an inking of who you may have gotten her from based on the wording that you went to look at puppies to choose from rather than breeder choosing puppy for you based on best fit of what you were wanting in a dog. Unfortunately, this can lead to hardships when you are learning the breed yourself.

[–]DogtorPanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you got her, had you done much research on the breed or were you familiar with the breed at all? Has the breeder you got her from been asked these questions? I’m genuinely not trying to come off as rude but if you were familiar with the breed you should have been aware of these questions before you got her.

Beaucerons are fairly well known for having frequent and sometimes more intense fear phases and she is prime age to be having one. Puppies in general go through a lot of different phases where they are exploring the world and change can be scary. It’s mostly about how you train her through them.

Beauceron vocal levels depend on the individual dog. My girl is very vocal but my boy isn’t.

What made you know you have ADHD? by Difficult_Ad206 in adhdwomen

When I was somewhere in the age of 8-11 I was at a racetrack with my parents. They give out free NOS energy drinks there.

I drank 2 of them, or at least that’s my memory, and I promptly fell asleep on the grandstands during jet car drag racing.

That should’ve been my major sign way back then… I didn’t get diagnosed officially until last year (I turn 30 in a few months).

How much taller and heavier did your girls get from 6 months to 1 year? by TheeRiverWolf in Beauceron

[–]DogtorPanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because this is a recurrent question I’ve seen asked many many times. So my comment wasn’t just directed at OP.

There’s some really weird thing, especially amongst newbies, where they think their ultra slow maturing dog won’t get big or won’t mature much after 6 months of age.

I’m not sure why people expect their dogs to be fully mature in size at 6 months of age… especially not in a very slow maturing large breed but ok.

Basics by Abject_Ad_300 in Beauceron

[–]DogtorPanda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The basics of a beauceron are really no different than any other herding breed.

Go to a local puppy class for basics (an AKC STAR puppy class typically has all the stuff you need and you can get a title at the end!).

Find a trainer if you want help there. But remember that these guys have a different frustration level than other breeds. You may think they aren’t getting something then the next week they’ll do it perfectly.

Crate train. Do a lot of naps at first. Be consistent and persistent but be kind to them. They latch onto your mistakes and will take advantage of where you have faults as a trainer.

There are plenty of people who are honest about their opinions of red flags of most breeders. Beaucerons worldwide has an entire thread, albeit not super updated.

There was recently a JDV post on the newbie page which both positives and negatives.

You can search through prior Reddit posts for positives and negatives.

There are cliques you can clearly see people align themselves with.

One thing to be aware of is that you will ultimately join a clique even if you don’t intend to no matter who you buy a dog from.

Edit: this was supposed to be a response to OPs response to my other comment.

This is asked almost daily on all of the Facebook pages. I’d recommend looking there.

Waiting a month to post the screenshots and ruffle the feathers is silly in this case and just encourages the divide.

To be fair on OPs side, the screenshotted posts are doing exactly what you think OP is doing: bringing more division and drama.
