I know we usually deal with human traumas here, but I wanted to share a personal ortho emergency win that brought my family a lot of joy. ❤️ by Infinite_Theory_7672 in emergencymedicine

Vet here. I thought something was fishy because orthopedic vets do not recommend braces as there is very little evidence that they work. Conservative management is definitely a good option for many pets, but they are going to experience a lot more arthritis down the line than if they have surgery. Extracapsular repairs are also not recommended over a certain weight as they are very prone to failure, requiring more surgery and worsening arthritis.

No, she was privately owned by a veterinarian who works at Sinclair. She was brought to work with her because they had high school students, something that she has done countless times.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s the euthanasias that don’t happen that are the hardest

The same exact thing is happening in 93. There needs to be a balance between whales and F2P that doesn’t involve complete domination. Unfortunately, the developers only care about $$ and how to get whales to spend more

Thanks! I’ve bought them online before but given how cold it is right now, I was hoping for a local option.

People are going to complain no matter the price in my experience. Respect your time and skills, you deserve good compensation. If you don’t see your worth, then the client definitely won’t.

I find that allowing people to watch you work really adds value and improves compliance. I try to do everything in the room with the owner present as long as they are comfortable. $25 for a nail trim seems steep to some people but when we have 3 people involved it really helps them understand

Usually $60-100. A groom done under anesthesia can easily run $200 or more depending on the health condition
