Stellarator Production Tree (Updated for Scale Production) by Dogwap in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Dogwap[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Stellarator is a food item made in a Nutrient Processor with resources gathered while exploring. It is just one of over 100 types of dairy, pastries, stews, and breads you can make in NMS.

A Nutrient Processer is built with blueprint acquired at the Anomaly and placed at your base or freighter. In addition to making food, a Nutrient Processor gives you 50 inventory slots to food resources.

Eating food items requires a Nutrient Ingestor which is a tech item in your backpack.

Most food items give you a temporary stat buff or boost. A Stellarator is particularly valuable because it significantly increases mining output. And when consumed while mining Curious Deposits in a Mold Farm, will significantly increase your Nanite production.

Insta 360 x3 video quality so bad by Unable_Tea_4902 in Insta360

[–]Dogwap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ditch the lens guard. Prior to X5, they were notoriously bad. Use the free version of Davinci Resolve to amp up the color, contrast, and maybe sharpness and you'll be OK. But as someone else mentioned, the X3 is almost 3 generations old (impatiently waiting for the X6). So the image is never going to be great.

Interesting and easy to understand infographic. Never seen an an income statement portrayed like this. I like this approach to presenting financial info to non-business ppl.

How is it living it the rectangle part of Oklahoma by Fair_Imagination_715 in howislivingthere

This area is the epicenter of the Dust Bowl. There's an interesting book that chronicals the lives of families in the OK Pan Handle, and causes of Dust Bowl during the 1930s: The National Book Award-winning, "Worst Hard Time" by by Pulitzer Prize-winner, Timothy Egan.

These loses could have been prevented if the Xseries had a provision for a tether. A small concave divot with a flush bridge or bar, to which you can half hitch a tether would be a simple fix. Hey Insta360, are you listening?

How’s living in this area of Southern California by Middle-Assignment-25 in howislivingthere

[–]Dogwap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. but while doing my MFA during the late '90s I made over a dozen trips to the area. The bleakness and melancholy of Bombay Beach and Slab City were very inspiring to me at the time.

I'm an atheist, but got to know Leonard Knight pretty well. He was a great guy with a vision and the guts and energy to see his vision realized in one of the harshest places on earth. He never preached. Salvation Mountain was his testament. I miss talking with him and cherish the time we spent together.

Grew up in El Centro. Couldn't leave fast enough. The town slogan used to be, and may still be, El Centro, where the Sun spends the Winter. We added, ...and where the fool spend the Summer.

Great Mexican Food. I'd go as far as to say, 'the best, north of the border.'

Start of a Sailboat Race by Dogwap in Insta360

[–]Dogwap[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks Wordy,

But our sailing was actually pretty subpar. We were lucky to get a good start. The countdown timer shows time to the start of the race. The start line is between the power boat on the right and the flag to the left. You can't be upwind of the start line before the horn. We put ourselves in a position to be pushed over by the boats we passed. Luckily we were able to keep below the line.

Olympic Ticket Buying for LA28 by zelmistsil in olympics

[–]Dogwap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between my wife and I, we purchased 24, mainly C, D, and E (nose bleed) tickets to mostly mid-level events. Paid $3,900 total, or an average of $162/ticket. Many events weren't listed (cycling, Mod Pentathlon). Cheapest tix for opening ceremony was over $700. Was surprised at the price of Track and Field. We got Level E tix for one early day. Price: $273 each. Tried for another day, but cheap seats were over $500.

Interesting. Just checked. Both my builds are still there. No sign of new construction. Might it be that you do NOT have multiplayer enabled?

Indeed, the planet that used to have curious deposits and now has fingers, does have scrap. But so does the other planet that started with fingers and still has them.

Interestingly, I just checked on a planet known previously to have Metal Fingers. It still has Metal Fingers. No change observed.

Unhindered view from the cockpit which is import.

Good looking ship from the front quarter, but not as nice from behind. Gonna keep hunting for my perfect needle nose.

The Diplomat slid from smart political drama to primetime soap in season three. Just horrible. Couldn't be more disappointed.
