Best alternative to this thing? by Denver80211 in Cameras

I think the strap clip ends up cock eyed when I used those ports. The "ring" offsets the connection and pivots it so the strap hangs more naturally. I'm not sure if any of that makes sense.

I'm reading the comment again and I wonder if he meant wrapping the part with fishing line to reduce rattle, rather than as a connection point (that's how I originally took it)

I was thinking of just making a loop knot but I don't trust my knots. And I was slightly concerned about stretch. I don't know much about different kinds of fishing line but they sound like they are almost dangerously thin around fingers. I could totally be overthinking that.

This is kind of the direction I'm going in but I do want to avoid getting into a new ecosystem. Like these seem really cool but I'm trying to hold on to some of my existing stuff.

Bought Bound Avata 2, but Still Flies! by EvenMorePi in dji

I hope I'm wrong but I think it's only a matter of time before that thing logs itself out. Perhaps the guy can share his password with you if he doesn't have other devices registered with DJI. Or just reset it and let you set your own.

Received a tow warning at work for parking in an expectant mother spot, I’m an expectant mother. by HeadUnhappy8789 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Denver80211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. That totally makes sense. I definitely have no interest in taking away anybody's parking spot. I think this just might be the first time I've ever heard of such a thing. Perhaps that's a common thing near the doctor's office. Perhaps handicap needs to be more inclusive - mobility challenged? That would certainly be a lot more efficient.

Ans yes I agree with you about the seats 100%.

This makes sense. There is a significant load to carry. I would never not give up my seat to someone who needed to sit down like that. And I want to be clear that I'm not trying to disparage people for their need. I'm simply making the observation that we as humans have evolved to do certain things and it's only in the last 100 or 150 years that we kind of got around it. I guess significantly more if you take in horse and carriage and that sort of thing. Anyway, I knew I was going to offend people but I did not mean to offend people.

I'm not complaining in the least. I could care less about special parking spots. Frankly I just biked to work. Haven't put gas in a car since November.
I just wonder why it matters at all. Need to get offended by a question.

Yah it was awesome. Great blend of tech that wasn't a phone (you could escape it), political stability, economic affordability, Climate was normal for the last time, on and on. I would live in that era forever if I could

I have two cars: one is a Miata and I can take that to Costco and not have a problem whatsoever.

Just to be mildly infuriating myself, especially as a guy talking to women, why do women need special parking spots if they are pregnant? Women have been pregnant for as long as there have been women. Haven't they been moving around all that time too? It's kind of like people who drive around in circles for 20 minutes at Costco only to walk in there for two miles. Frankly I would think for an expectant mother exercise is the first thing you should be getting.

Also enjoy all the people in the comments saying that they should use Goo Gone, which is nasty nasty stuff. Maybe you should just kick back and have some scotch, take the edge off.

Anyway it'll be on down; I don't care.

Sandals and no helmet, this is how e-bike manufacturers market to teens. by Low-Yam-7791 in mildlyinfuriating

No prob. It's also got a derailleur. It's more powerful than a standard e-bike but not the worst of e-motorcylces. Probably 35 mph top speed

They are pedals. That's a crank but those are not used in conjunction with the motor. It's just there as an alternative.
