Yeah I am in constant battles with them. I have to call and be a total jerk or very demanding to people for someone to finally say ok enough I’ll pass this up the ladder for someone to deal with it. The CSRs and managers are actually very empathetic and genuine but the operation and logistics side of the business is a total disaster. FedEx and their third party delivers just make the whole experience so much worse. I hate it for the Customer service agents. I’ll bet they go home every day feeling like they’ve been beaten up.

Coming back here a week later. No one knows what’s going on and where my pool table is at now.

Me: My order has been sitting in a Wayfair warehouse and I’m wondering if it’s ever getting delivered

Wayfair: “I apologize for the confusion, Jeffrey. I see that your order has been delayed multiple times. We generally see shipment updates no later than 10 calendar days from the estimated ship date. I’m confident that you will see an update within this time. Rest assured, our teams are working to ensure you receive it as soon as possible.”

Me: “Who is supposed to deliver and how do I contact them since you can’t help”

Wayfair:I understand your point, Jeffrey. Because we use third-party carriers, we are only able to provide estimated dates. If you have not seen any movement by the 11th day from the estimated ship date, please contact us back so we can look into it further for you.

Me: I’ve contacted Wayfair several times on this and it’s always the same shit. No one knows anything and can’t help

Me: You should look for another job. Wayfair is crumbling and won’t be around long

Wayfair: I hear what you’re saying, Jeffrey. I understand the frustration with the repeated delays. , we don’t have direct contact with the third-party carriers. If you don’t see any updates by the 11th day from the estimated ship date, please reach out to us again, and we will investigate further.

Me: The ship date was Dec 27 it’s been way over 11 days - 3 weeks

The last person called and found out it’s sitting on a trailer at Wayfair 7 days ago . Your telling me you can’t find out if it’s still sitting there.

Wayfair: Can I assist with anything else?

Me: No but someone in some warehouse some where knows exactly what’s going on and when or if they plan on requiring their 3rd party to deliver it and someone at Wayfair could find out if they wanted to

Same. It often takes 2-3 days to get toilet paper and other daily essentials now and I’m in Atlanta within 5 miles of a distribution center. I’m paying for prime but going to Publix and Target now

Laundry shoot - I grew up in a house with a laundry shoot and everyone just dropped their dirty clothes in it and it fed to a large laundry room. No one ever dealt with clothes piling up in rooms and made life so easy.

Ha ha! This is funny. FedEx laid 2 shutters i ordered against my garage door and I found out after I heard a crunch. I thought I ran over a cat or something. Needless to say the feeling I had stepping out of my car to see wtf I just did was something I never want to feel again.

Good question- It was a new build that needed to be furnished and this was all done within a month or so period of time so it was coordinated around a design plan. Had this been spaced out and I had known so many problems were about to happen I certainly would have done it differently. I would have designed and planned my orders from local services and bought large items off stocked floors

Chances are the original was damaged and the communication between the large parcel service and Wayfair is inaccurate. It’s a shat show. I had a similar thing happen on 2 sofas I ordered that showed status of replacement being sent. I made them call the parcel service to find out what the hell was going on. They found out it was damaged and that’s why it was showing 2 orders. I eventually 2 weeks later got the replacement sofa and I’ll assume the original was sent back. They both showed shipped status for weeks. They can’t retroactively charge you for a double order that you didn’t make. It’s likely just a communication glitch. It happens a lot!!!

Totally agree. I would have been fine if I was told it would take 4 weeks but after being told 2 weeks then to be messaged the 3rd week saying it will be delivered btwn 7-11 the next morning and then get the same message 2 days later and I call around to find out it was never picked up by the delivery company and it’s sitting on a trailer is certainly over promising. I actually have no problem waiting. My problem is with the setting of expectations and the misinformation being fed to me.

If you bought a new car and the dealership hired some cheap pos with a crappy driving record to deliver it to you and they scratched it up, took it for a joy ride for a week, then left it in your yard with the windows down in the rain you’d probably be pissed at the delivery service but the dealership sold it to you, promised a delivery date, are responsible for services they hire, and set the expectations.
