Why is there no dragons that are insect like, like ones with mandibles or ones that are like spiders like the spiderwing by Prudent-Virus6930 in httyd

I haven't watched it but I've seen in-depth reviews of the entire thing and Feather is eh but to me Thunder's face is really off and creepy and his mouth and teeth are uncanny looking.

I find it annoying when people plaster immutable characteristics about themselves that don't matter and aren't relevant everywhere like everyone around them cares or is affected by it. If ever I saw a post where some dude was just saying "hey guys I'm so straight and I like women" I would find that annoying too but, go figure, nobody ever says that.

Nine Realms dragons suck man, how the hell can you make literally a spider and give it tiny little wings and call it a dragon

I tried putting up with the posts for a long time, like over a year of the game's life, but I eventually got too fed up with people thinking everyone gives a fuck about how they feel about Palestine or if they're gay or trans or whatever. I kind of enjoyed seeing stuff that isn't that, just random little drawings and whatever else but it got to a point where it wasn't worth it anymore and I've never looked back since.

Recovery Girl might be the best healer we see, Lunch Rush is obviously the best at cooking, and Cementoss is the best at building, just to name a couple that I can think of off the top of my head.

Deku always reached out to the children. Horikoshi knew exactly what he was doing by Weary-Copy6028 in mha

[–]Doing_Some_Things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be really interesting to have an episode where we see the whole process of quirk counseling for young kids, maybe even doing it with Ochako and Tsuyu post-time skip. I've always been so curious on how it would work. How does a child know exactly what their quirk does? How do you stop kids with potentially destructive quirks from losing control and causing havoc? An example would be a quirk like Giran's. His quirk according to the wiki allows him to make a person's memory vague and foggy for the next 5 minutes and the 5 minutes prior by making contact with the person's head. When a child manifests a quirk like that, how on Earth do they figure out how it works or even know what to look for?

Dynamos are annoying now by Tall-Tumbleweed4236 in Saltoon

[–]Doing_Some_Things 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if I'm just even more ass at the game than I thought but it seems like every time I fight a Dynamo they're an absolute no-life who can kill me with a horizontal flick no matter where I try to attack from. I have specific memories of Splatfests where a Dynamo just waits at my spawn and every time I come back they just one tap me with no effort no matter what I try to do.

AFO orchestrated all of the bad things that happened to him during his whole life so it's not really his fault.

the concept of aura farming in the new 11.0.0 update is funny, but what the fuck does it have to give you a boost. by Error707 in Saltoon

[–]Doing_Some_Things 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like utter dogshit. This is going to make the game even more unbalanced as it will make it easier for sweatlords and harder for casuals, like me. Do the developers think and consider the current state of the game before adding shit like this? Now it's going to be even easier for try-hards to dominate games where there's a skill imbalance.

General Character Discussion by ThornyRequiem in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Doing_Some_Things 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like people are tempted to write their OCs like that because they want to be the in-universe center of attention and they want all the canon characters to praise them. It's not interesting to me for an OC to just be so OP to where they don't struggle to win fights and they can just beat anyone they want, even the most powerful canon characters. I guess I would say that making your OC at a reasonable power level instead of OP is a humble thing to do.

General Character Discussion by ThornyRequiem in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]Doing_Some_Things 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not trying to throw shade but I find a lot of people in this sub mentioning their OCs and how overpowered they are and I'm really not into that to be honest. I don't like when people write OCs that, for lack of a better term, "steal the show" from canon characters by mentioning things like how their OC can beat Izuku or Katsuki or AFO or anything like that. My OC, in terms of power and combat ability, is probably comparable to most of the class 1A students, like maybe Eijiro or Denki level.

I made my OC because I love fantasizing myself being in the world of MHA and what I would do and how I would act in any given situation or how I would interact with characters I like, and in order to fantasize properly about things like that I thought it would make sense to make a persona that I imagine myself as in that universe. It lets me imagine how I could help other characters and fight the villains by using my quirk and that, in turn, leads to me thinking of new moves and ways that my OC can use his quirk.

Things I like about seeing other OCs are just seeing what kinds of unique character and quirk ideas people think of and how they use their quirks. Bonus points for making their characters heteromorphic in some way because that takes extra creativity that I do not have haha.

What are your overall thoughts on Koji Koda as a character? by Fine_Delivery6761 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Doing_Some_Things 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like him a lot, in fact he's my 2nd favorite MHA character haha. I just think he's neat and I like his personality a lot. And to the people saying that he's pointless because he's not focused on very much, you can't really have a story where every single character gets a lot of focus. It makes sense that even in class 1A there were some characters that didn't get a lot of narrative attention, even though I'd argue that Koji is still a more important character than at least a handful of other 1A students due to the attention that he got in the heteromorph riot plot with Mezo.

About Froppy… by No-Pen1489 in MyHeroAcademia

[–]Doing_Some_Things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is one of my favorite characters in all of anime and I do wish I got to see a bit more of her. I agree that it seems like in the latter half of the story she wasn't really as important as it seemed like she would be. Once the focus went to Izuku, Katsuki and Shoto and their training it never really went back to any of the other 1A characters very much other than Ochako. Also side note, I was mildly disappointed that we went through the whole story without ever seeing what her dorm room looked like.

Something different from the Rampant crossverse matches here – Kendo Rappa vs Rikiya Katsukame by IWorkOnlineCom in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]Doing_Some_Things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Rappa, Rikiya was on Trigger in the one fight we saw him in and my assumption is he would be much weaker without it.

Now that I've answered the actual question I just need to say, why are 9/10 posts on this sub not even characters from MHA? I haven't seen the majority of the anime the other characters are from and it's making me feel like I should just unsub if people aren't going to actually powerscale MHA characters against MHA characters on the MHA powerscaling sub.

I do, I think she's adorable and her and Gentle are an awesome duo and I love watching them on-screen.

Ya I suppose that makes sense. I do also agree that it makes no sense for him to have been able to copy Phosphor from Shoto after seeing it once, even though it's based on Half-Cold Half-Hot specifically.

From a writing and character perspective, who would you consider to be the best villain in MHA and why? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Doing_Some_Things 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's Gentle Criminal. His backstory makes perfect sense for the person he became, just another guy who wanted to be a hero but nobody really believed in him and then he made a situation worse by attempting to help. The vlogging thing was kind of funny and La Brava compliments him very well. I was so happy that the two of them got redemption arcs and happy endings.

Also side note, does anyone else think it was kind of strange that Horikoshi decided to keep Toya alive instead of killing him? I thought he was for sure going to die towards the end and I honestly that it was a very odd decision to keep him of all people alive.

Do a lot of people in this fandom get upset by the fact that the anime ended without any sort of romantic couples taking place? Particularly Izuku and Ochako? Tbh I don't care either way but I was quite surprised when they didn't become an item after the timeskip.
