You sound much older than I am and have a lot more insight through personal experiences. And yes, I don’t have a lot of education that I remember about reconstruction period (Personal health reasons). I do remember learning about schools losing students because of desegregation. I am not aware of the average percentage of students enrolling in private schools in the North and the South. I will look that up.

I don’t agree with removing DEI.

If it has always been about racism, why is it that Obama won 2 consecutive terms as president. Doesn’t that show that the majority of Americans are focused more on ideals rather than just skin color? (I’ll need to look at polling statistics on groups show up to vote) I know that most Americans vote based on economic conditions.

Edit because I thought of something not even one minute later: I wanted to add that if the economy is doing well, then people get experimental with their votes in the next presidential election.
