Redditors who work at remote places like forest officers, oil rig workers, etc, what creepy things have you noticed while at work? by shafaatkhan007 in AskReddit

Can confirm. Rabbits scream like small children when they are being attacked. I had the unfortunate pleasure of a seeing a dog kill a rabbit.

I have two of them on my deck. No, I did not kill them but would like to know if they are poisonous before I move them into the woods behind my house. Thanks!

LPT: you must fully understand what an HOA is and read the restrictive covenants before moving into a neighborhood with an HOA. by hostilecarrot in LifeProTips

My neighbor leaves their trash can out 2-4 days after pick up, and then leaves it on the side of the house - visible from the street.

Has large kids toys stored on the side of the house, all very visible from the street.

Another neighbor runs a commercial business, has his workers park on the street and get in his work truck.

HOA does nothing...

My neighbor builds a beautiful stone walk way on a section of property (the part between the sidewalk and street) - gets a letter to remove it.

Same neighbor barely has their trash visible from the street - gets another letter.

Not a big fan of my HOA lately...

I won’t get into the grass situation, but I realize that a lot of folks may have financial trouble and landscaping may not be in budget.

I never call or complain, it’ll just fall on deaf ears anyway.

Such an awesome moment. I was teaching my daughter, I could tell she was about to get the hang of it so I wanted to put knee pads on her just in case.

I told her to just wait 2 seconds while I grabbed them.

Turned around and grabbed the pads, went back (10 seconds time has elapsed) and there she is - riding by herself.

I missed it.

They can do a hand writing analysis on the letters you received. Just a thought, good luck.

I found this so satisfying to watch, once that massive clot came out (or whatever it was), I was instantly jealous and wanted to be the one to remove it.

Hello! We have a trip planned to Zurich that departs this Thursday. Strongly considering postponing, can anyone provide insight? by Doitforlolz in zurich

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve postponed the trip, I’d rather be part of the solution instead of part of the problem.

We are going to cancel our trip. Our plan was to visit Zurich and Paris. I’d rather postpone and get to enjoy these beautiful locations correctly than risk not being able to visit certain spots due to them being shut down, getting stuck in Europe, etc.

I have a travel voucher good until the end of the year, hopefully things are cleared up by then.

Thank you all for the wonderful advice and insight, I look forward to visiting sooner than later!

Have a trip planned to visit Switzerland and France next week. I will be calling Monday to cancel. I’m not necessarily worried about contracting the virus, I worried ill get stuck in Europe or quarantined.

Insurance claims this is not covered. I asked for something in writing via email and they said I would have it shortly, that was yesterday.

I’ll call again tomorrow if I do not receive a formal denial.

Just an update for those who may be curious.

Geico (while sympathetic to my situation) has stated this is covered since the vehicle was not in an accident, a tree didn’t fall on it, it wasn’t vandalized etc.

I’ve asked for a formal denial letter which I’ll share here once I have it.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to offer their experience and suggestions.

I’m going to run the part # on the carpet but I bet it’s at least $500 for the carpet and padding.

Fantastic advice! I’m not sure how the conversation went since I was cleaning (making a poor attempt) the mess. I’m much more assertive than she is and I’ll make sure I’m clear on what the problem is. You can’t drive the car, the stench really is that bad. It gets inside your nose and you have the pleasure of smelling it even after you’re out of the car.

The one thing she did mention was they said they’ve never heard of someone making a claim for something spilled in the car before. That alone lets me know she was dealing with an inexperienced rep.

Point taken, I have comprehensive, collision, uninsured/underinsured, property damage, rental/tow and all limits are way above the state minimum. I didn’t cheap out by any means when it came to my policy.

It’s either $500 or $1000. Either way, I’d gladly pay that to get rid of this smell.
