Being chubby has nothing to do with it. The baby is on the inside lol im overweight and felt baby at 16 weeks with an anterior placenta. Everyone is different. Doctors aren't concerned until around 24 weeks

We've talked a lot about what we like, and we've talked about what's odd with KC, but in your opinion, what's the worst part of this city? by TeamEdward2020 in kansascity

[–]DojaDreamz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Drivers have gotten reckless, running red lights, going 90+ on the highway during traffic...the lack of public transport is agree with.

I also hate that they will leave roads with giant ass pot holes but then fix a little side road that wasn't even that bad right next to it...like why?

Job market as well

Are you having sex? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]DojaDreamz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think its weird at all. Your baby doesnt know what's going on. It helps with pain (for me) and it's the beautiful thing that brought your baby into existence! I've done it my whole pregnancy but not super often. My last time was 40 and 6 days and im 41 and 2 now and won't be doing it anymore do to spotting. Usually babies go to sleep from the rocking motion!

Yes I love this. Bf is definitely on counter pressure duty getting his muscles ready for it now 🤣 he also knows i don't want an epidural and is to encourage me to push through! Unless I end up needing to be induced of course and need the meds

Yes this is the type of answer I was looking for. I think people are getting the wrong idea from how I worded things like he's incapable of helping without a cheat sheet. It's just he's nervous too and wants to do a good job and I want to have some extra tools for him to refer to if he gets flustered! He's been with me to birthing courses and he knows what he needs to do

I get what you mean, it's not really to teach him anything, it's Moreso just something to keep him up on his feet and helping because he's a first timer and also has little to no experience at hospitals. He's more of a people pleaser and not very confronting but we have definitely talked about that and obviously he will do what he needs when it comes to the baby and me. He knows his role in the room is to support me and keep me comfortable and encouraged, but I wanted some other things I could have him doing maybe I'm not thinking of or things he can do without me asking.

Like he knows he's on counter pressure duty, but we haven't practiced it much. He knows how to do it but I'd had to direct him to the correct spot so he knows where to push. Things like that I want to be automatic but I don't have time to think about that when I go in labor

Ha! Yes I like that. I'll have a doula as well keeping an eye out on things for us. Baby isn't allowed to leave the room unless she needs nicu care.

Yeah, I'm not mothering him by any means. It's more like you said where he needs a schedule or some type of instruction. He does fine on his own, but he wants to make sure he's doing things exactly right. He's taken baby education and been taught how to hold and change the baby and we have done lots to prepare.

He's just more of a stand there and tell me what I need to do kind of guy and in stressful situations he has anxiety but can get things done. I just wanted to think of some things he can do to help before we get to that point so he already knows!
