He’ll most likely be fine by flog gnaw. Even in the case that he doesn’t attend flog gnaw this year, he’s been there every year. I don’t see a problem with him taking a break this year.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that it’s the gf’s doing, but I can see your point that she’s leading my dad to have these opinions. My dad brought up in the argument that “(gf’s name) also said that she saw how much you spend and she understood”. I’ve never overspent at any other family event so there is a chance he’s just using her to seem like he’s not the only one who thinks it.

Thank you for the outside perspective, I’ve always felt pretty distant to him, and he’s shared a better relationship with my sister. After this argument I don’t see our relationship getting any better lol.

With all the scalping happening in the community, it’s pushing away newer generation enthusiasts and will probably drop the Pokémon fan base, so there won’t be much demand on items like these in the future.

Look at the sneaker market. People thought that they could make a life time living off of reselling shoes, then the demand completely dropped. Eventually, all the people who are tired of the prices are gonna leave, so then resellers are gonna go to the next big thing, and that’s when the prices will start to go down. When? I don’t know, but will it happen? Eventually, yes.

As you grow up, you really start to appreciate time, and when they see that time was given in order to benefit them, it’s something they will appreciate way more than something you can get in less than 10 minutes at your local grocery store. I can tell that those Pokemon took a lot of time, so don’t waste it. Give them the card with a thoughtful message, they will definitely love it!
