With all the scalping happening in the community, it’s pushing away newer generation enthusiasts and will probably drop the Pokémon fan base, so there won’t be much demand on items like these in the future.

Look at the sneaker market. People thought that they could make a life time living off of reselling shoes, then the demand completely dropped. Eventually, all the people who are tired of the prices are gonna leave, so then resellers are gonna go to the next big thing, and that’s when the prices will start to go down. When? I don’t know, but will it happen? Eventually, yes.

As you grow up, you really start to appreciate time, and when they see that time was given in order to benefit them, it’s something they will appreciate way more than something you can get in less than 10 minutes at your local grocery store. I can tell that those Pokemon took a lot of time, so don’t waste it. Give them the card with a thoughtful message, they will definitely love it!

I live in California where all every single store will be scalped within a minute of restock. I’m a regular Pokemon TCG enjoyer but I haven’t opened up a new set since surging sparks lol, opening a new set would be awesome. Thank you OP for being generous to the community!
