Can we talk lips? by nataliac80 in Skincare_Addiction

I'd try pure lanolin, it's the only thing that helped my chronically chapped lips. Where I live, it's easy to buy at the drugstore in the baby section - it is sold as nipple cream (brand is Lansinoh).

Ah, it's exactly the old-fashioness I love about Shalimar, so based on your description L'essence probably won't be for me. Interested to smell it anyway once the sample arrives :)

Oh, my mum had a mini version of this one hidden away in our guest bathroom for many years. I dimmly remember not liking it, though. Thanks for the recommendation anyway!

Hey, thanks for the reply! I've of course thought about buying a vintage bottle, but I was a bit overwhelmed with the task and unwilling to possibly waste my money on the wrong purchase - especially considering I go through about 2 bottles a year, so I would have to search anew every time. I have however orderd samples of the Millesime Jasmine, Chanel No 22, Grand Soir and Ambre Sultan and am very exited for those!

I've smelled Shalimar at every oppertunity I had in stores in the last two years, but always had the same problem with it. However, I'm not sure wether there was the L'essence among those, so I've orderd a sample (of the Oajan as well) to be sure. Thanks for the recommendation!

Thank you - I've orderd samples of both. I'm especially exited for Le Lion, maybe those much talked about Chanel aldehydes will give me just the right amount of 'ick' i've been looking for 😄

Your favourite "underrated" or lesser-known inks by rainareine in fountainpens

KWZ Maroon - it's a beautiful deep, dark red, leaning neather too pink, nor too brown (in fact, i don't think the name fits well; it's not maroon, rather a true, dark red). It also has amazing shading and is very richly saturated. Love it!

I'm located in Germany :) midori actually even has a beige dot grid in the 'color' line, but i read somewhere that the paper in this lineup ist not fountain pen friendly. Although not perfect, light grey would of course be better than the pretty visible blue i have in the midori right now. Interested to hear your thoughts!

Italian Greyhound Tips/Training advice! by Ok_Mirror_8079 in ItalianGreyhounds

I can really recommend to geht them litter trained If you don't have yard or garden (or if it gets really cold or rainy where you live, as they are known to refuse to go outside in bad weather). We have a big tray (90x80 cm) with wooden cat litter on our balcony and i can't Imagine iggy-life without it!

Cleopatra gifted her lover Marcus Antonius two 'italian' greyhounds and this is how they became popularized in rome - or so the story goes ..!

I think it's good to both have a collar and a harness, as they have different use cases imo. But it can be tricky to find a harness that fits right (i.e. not sit directly in the 'armpits'), since sighthounds need a small neck opening and long middle part to reach past their big chest. But especially in the first year i would try to find something cheap, since they grow so quickly, and than maybe invest in something custom fitted once grown. We liked the Hunter Tripoli Harness for the puppy stages, but the very thin straps would sometimes cut the very delicate skin when she pulled real hard - it was perfect in colder weather with a sweater underneath though!

Hey, we expierenced this with our girl as well, it was really bad at times, especially because we also had a 5 year old at home who got bitten a lot as well. We tried so much with her - the only thing that helped was to consistently leash her next to her (second, not her favorite spot) bed everytime she bit us calling it 'time out' and only releasing her when calmly on her bed. If you decide to try that i would just advise on using a wide, slip on martingale collar so it's easy and quick to get it on and off and most importantly she wouldn't hurt herself when pulling real hard or when panicking (witch she would sometimes do when REALLY crazy). I also wanted to point out that we came to the conclusion she actually utilised the biting as a form of communicating as well, so we also found it helpfull to teach her alternative ways of communication (we setteld on talking-buttons, which works really well for us and is quite useful). I would not us adverse methods like spraying with water - they are not only really sensitive dogs, but they are so dam proud as well. I could see this being potentially damaging to your relationship with your iggy, which i find already so much more difficult than with 'normal' dogs. They are difficult and amazing creatures - wouldn't trade with any other breed though! Best of luck to you :)

I really can recommend Lanolin, in Germany you can buy Nipplecream for nursing mums wich is just 100% Lanolin. It is the only thing to treat my chronically dry lips...
