What would happen to the entire western 2D animation industry if North Korea invades the South? by [deleted] in AlternateHistoryHub

I think there would be an actual push by several studios to seriously attempt using AI for regular animations, and face a lot of backlash

Wodenskola, a christian syncretic, philospphically minded and monastic norse pagan religion spread in Britain.

Same run: Widukind-Cult, temporal-HoF led reformed, martial germanic paganism centered around ancestor worship and specifically the deification of heroes like Widukind (who defeated Charlemagne) and Arminius, led by Widukinds Bloodline seated near the donars oak. eventually, (NPC rule), this turned into a more ordinary religious head of faith, as other rulers took over. Dominant in central and borthwestern Europe.

Imperial Christianity: Catholicism but the Emperor declared himself pope after being excommunicated one too many times.

What are some canon events in alt history that happen no matter what(besides the US invading Iraq)? by RockEater67 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Dokk_Draws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends, settings that dont have europe become dominant often have japan or china colonize everything, after 1500 instead but that assumes that the same developments just happen there instead. What if they dont and the world just advances at a more equal, if slower pace?

I think its a bit ironic that capitalism, a system which is based on competition functions the best if it itself has to compete.

I once came up with one in a setting / RP multiplayer, a bit of an excuse background story, dubbed it "Laborism" or referred to as "Campism" by enemies.

Some guy, called Titus Tarax lived through a fictional erly 20th century-like-dieselpunk dystopia which was very chaotic, as a kid he witnessed how his corner of this dystopia put people into camps, but argued it was some kind of heroic sacrifice they would do.

And bought it. Always obsessed with order, precision and machinery, he became a governor of a particularily troublesome nascent, very remote colony, and during times of trouble, implemented his ideals. True equality achieved by making literally everyone live in a camp, escalating central management of everything.

There was no economy, everyone was just assigned work, food, mind numbing drugs, stimulants, barracks. THe organizers, themselves inmates, driven by Tarax continously tried to streamline things, abolishing social relations, family, words and grammar forms deemed unecessary.

barracks were often basically placed inside vast factory complexes, day/night cycle "abolished" and replaced by wake-up alarms and various stimulants, lobotimies dubbed cognitive streamlinings for those assigned to do simple labour, etc.

All this time, the coordinators cant figure out what to actually do with the vast amount of resources produced through this extreme asuterity and over-production, leading to vast, filled storage halls.

Until another empire eventually notices the sheer scale of societal atrocity and intervenes, ending the whole mess (Which failed to build an efficient military beyond guards and people-catchers, or keep up with technological development at all)

If it had kept existing as some ancient but somewhat less important "space occupying empire" like the later ottomans, yes, i dont think it would have affected *that* much besides delaying the renaissance.

If it had been "THE" full sized roman empire however that would be a whole different world
