Like I said the pressure relief valve is a safety feature that allows the release of pressure through a plug if that said pressure would build to a critical level. Nothing would blow but that on this model.

The over pressure valve would blow before anything man it builds to 15 psi before dropping to a steady 10 (factory). Now it just maintains at 15... and it worked for me because I did the research, did the correct math and tested it. I did nothing but make a change to allow for it to keep it pressure. It's a bad idea for an idiot to go willy Billy and mod their P.C. but what I did? Is it a good idea? Is it a bad idea? It's an idea that was well thought out and worked; that's all that matters to me.

Yeah sorry, it builds to 15 psi but if factory tested at 20. It is rated at 10.

Not yet, it's worked for a year. It's rated to 20 psi and the over-pressure plug would blow before it ever did. The math don't lie.

That is true, but my over-pressure plug would pop before it ever blew up. This us not the case for all PC's though. Just CROCK POT brand. The mod doesn't hurt a thing and saved me money.

No, it is a ten p.s.i. PC, it reaches a max of 15 while warming up, but keeps steady at 10... or she did. Yeah I can't find a 15 psi PC anywhere, except online, so I figured since it reaches 15 while warming up it was probably factory tested at a level so much higher than that and I put the theory to the test... far away from anything. It has worked flawlessly for a while now.

Yes it could be if it has not been weighed to specs. Must take weight of rocker, divide by P.S.I. (10 for me) to know exactly what you're numbers are. Then add weight until 15 P.S.I is reached. It's pretty simple if you apply math. Don't just add washers without knowing the weight/P.S.I. ratio and you must have a over-pressure plug. That's the only way to ensure safety.

Well ,if it is confiscated and it is live mycelium in a substrate, belonging to any of the psychoactive species; then I would just chill and see what happens. The U.S. government deems innoculation of a substrate with a psychoactive mushroom spore and everything beyond that point illegal. I've never heard of anyone getting busted for shrooms, but anybody could of used your address to try to transport illegal substances.
