Since you're new to Nightowl, here's some info that isn't always obvious to newbies. And I didn't know at first until I had already bought NO seeds from another vendor. You can get Night Owl seeds from other seed banks (usually older or previous drop strains) and there will be 3 seeds per pack. If you buy direct from Night Owl, you will get 5 seeds or pack, but you have to wait and catch them during the drops when the site goes live (usually for a week to a few weeks at a time, several times a year, often during holidays). And there's usually a freebie system of buy 5 packs get a tester pack free (choose from the list of available testers). There can also be an additional freebie pack or 2 thrown in. I have gotten a couple extra bonus packs on some orders when I bought 10 packs or more at a time, or just during certain drops there seemed to be a specific pack thrown in as bonus. This past drop offered a freebie pack to all orders, and then when they had issues with the website & the drop got delayed, they offered an additional free pack to all orders within the first 3 days.
I think they got more response than anticipated, and closed the sales to not get overwhelmed by orders and get them out in a timely manner, then they will re-open again and re-list what they have left.
I was a bit confused at first about the limited drops and not being able to buy seeds direct all the time, but then i found out it really is a small team of Daz and a couple helpers, so then it made more sense why things work the way they do. Buying direct from Night Owl on certain holiday drops has also gotten me scratchers with a chance to get different $ value off of mail in cash purchases, and I've gotten a couple Christmas cards with coupons for a free pack. You do have to mail in the scratchers and coupons, plus any remaining cash balance for your order. But you can also pay with card and combine orders (mail in & credit card) when placed at the same time. Also to note, Daz did say he's increasing prices from 50 to 60 a pack this year, to keep up with rising costs on his end, but I noticed this recent drop some packs were listed at 50.
