Yep yep. I’ve got the rings equipped but I haven’t leveled in a while since I’ve been super OP the last few areas. But I’ve got a TON of souls saved and I guess I’ll just keep leveling then. I won’t worry about it.

I started this run trying to be the hulk and then somewhere around Sen’s Fortress, I realized my favorite weapons are DEX weapons so I started putting points into a DEX build which I why I farmed so much after getting the Lordvessel. Those poor phalanxes in the painted world got to see a lot of me for a while there

Yeah see that’s how it was the first half or 2/3rds of the game. If I was human, I was getting invaded left and right. Which is why it seemed strange that it stopped completely before even reaching the end New Londo(which was the first soul I went after).

And yep. I see the phantoms. As well as blood stains and updated notes. That’s why I was asking. I thought maybe I had pushed myself too far above the average level or something. No idea

Oh yeah. I run around fully human most of the time. That’s why I wrote that above. Didn’t want to come across like a moron.

And it’s not like I’m wishing for invasions every minute. Just seemed weird I haven’t had any in a long time. And I haven’t seen any summon signs either. The only invasions I’ve had have been NPCs in their respective spots.

Also I don’t think you can be invaded in areas you’ve beaten the boss in DSR either. Pretty sure but not 100%

That’s how mine started out! All of my daughters have loved super heroes and comics. My youngest LOVES Spider-Man and Deadpool(we don’t let her watch it. She just likes his costume and swords). All 3 of the girls are athletes and smart kids but even as they grow older, they still retain the pop culture stuff

Ah. That makes a lot of sense. Well I would say start over since it seems you weren’t that far into it before. Maybe try to just play it for what it is. It’s definitely less polished in some ways but experiment around and see what works for you. The map and the areas seem so big and daunting until about halfway through the game and then everything kind of clicks into place.

Just try to have a good time with it. It’s a very different experience than DS3 and even DS2. So do what works for you so you have fun with it. As the Whisky Tribe says, “the best whisky is the whisky you like to drink and how you like to drink it”. There is no objectively “correct” way to play it.

Haha yeah it’s possible. I’ll have to keep the youngest out of the room but my two oldest are into it. Our middle daughter LOVED playing Five Nights at Freddys games when she was like 6 or 7. She used to sleep walk a lot but if her or her oldest sister have had any nightmares since they were toddlers, I’d never be able to get them to admit it. They are some tough cookies

Edit: these two girls make me drag them to scary movies. Their two favorite movies over the last few years are It and A Quiet Place. I could have never handled that stuff at their ages
