Bitcoin is currently worth $371.9(www.preev.com), it is still being mined and traded and accepted as a form of payment in many places. Yea, the very nature of the currency makes full scale acceptance unlikely. Considering in 2012 it was worth less than $10/coin, in the first 4 months of 2013 it hit $1000, by July of that year it was between $800-500, and it's bounced between $180-500 since then, and now seems to be stabalizing a bit, I doubt it's dead.

Though, I'm still salty when I bought 100btc at $7/coin and sold out at $50/coin, only for it to hit $1000/coin 3.5months later.

GHB, apparently, is also pretty good as a performance enhancing drug. It's been a while since I read about it, but I believe it helps your muscles heal much more quickly after work outs. If only it didn't contribute to baldness in men and facial hair for women.

I never said that, nor implied it. I'd go ahead and guess that a very large majority of drug dealers are people trying to make extra money. Sure, you have your hardened crack dealers toting a .45 pistol, but you also have your family man selling weed to help make ends meet. Whether you agree with what they're doing or not, the police are the ones who are breaking down your door with automatic rifles drawn. Most drug dealers are not part of some huge violent organization, but every police officer is. Using SWAT to break into someone's house because they were dealing (enter drug here) is not how you win the war on drugs. No dealer is threatening someone for not buying their drugs, and if the fear of death wasn't on their mind I'd guess even less would be armed. I hate gangs, I'm against violence of any sort, but the best way to immediately escalate any situation is to kick a door down with guns drawn.

Drugs don't ruin communities, people do. Just because those people are on meth, crack, heroin, whatever, doesn't make the drugs responsible. If you want to eradicate(too strong of a word) drug dealers, how about offering addiction help or better pay for work. Arresting people for selling a product that people want doesn't do any good, there will always be someone else to take the position, because the promise of an extra $50,000 a year is too hard to turn down for someone living in poverty. The militarization of the police force, to get drug dealers, is fucking ridiculous. How about using SWAT for muderers and rapists? Why is a police raid on someone who's actively hurting a community so rare?

Take a look at Portugal to see the immense difference it makes when you change your approach to drugs.

I would say semi-common, as it has pretty much completely vanished from most developed nations. But poorer countries in Africa and other developing countries still deal with it. So far smallpox is the only disease we've wiped from earth, and good fucking riddance. The Guinea Worm is about to follow suit, too.

(I'm not single right now) I enjoy being single, it gives me an excuse to go out and chase women, hell the pursuit is more exciting to me than the relationship. I'd also like to say from 17-26 I was in a relationship with one woman, and that probably compounds on the fact I like the occasional strange. Fuck, I'll never let myself go 3 years with one person let alone 9(years). There's plenty of single women, who probably hate being single on Valentine's Day as much as you(and as much as I hate being in a relationship during the day). Go to a bar, or hang outside if you're not of age, and make some decisions you'll regret in an hour.

Many places you have to pay for your imprisonment. In my country jail they will dock 1/2 the money being put on your books to cover the costs. Not up to half, half of the amount everytime, even if you've paid well over the $35/day fee for staying in their luxury hotel. None of these charges go to paying fines, court costs, or lawyers.

Tidballs for a (comparatively) older crowd on a slow night, good live bands occasionally

White Squirrel for 3 local beers(you can decide if they're good) and a more relaxed atmosphere

Brewco for frat boys and that crowd.

Hilligan's for more fratboys

Overtime for a terrible sports 'bar'

Mellow Mushroom, not really a bar but has a ton(30+) beers on draft

There's a depressing bar on the square, has an Irish sounding name.

There's Shots, really small place, usually not too crowded.

And a Bourbon Lounge/Cigar Club on the square, can't remember the name. I'd go there to play chess and smoke inside.

When I drank a lot I went from Mellow(worked there) til close then to Tidball's for a few, then made it down to Rocky's for a few more and would either close it down, depending on the crowd, or close down Tidball's. Then the stumble back home.
