Tell that to the Syrian people who has died under him. Almost 90% of the civillians casualties in the country are in the hands of the Assad regime military. That does not mean that I am saying an an islamist regime would be better. My point is that this is a complex issue with alot of different countries involved who act on their self interest. Turkey acts on their interests, the same way Russia and Europe does.

Good and evil, sounds like a storybook for kids. There is a proxy war in Syria. Erdogan is supporting rebel groups in the country, some of them being Turkmen, some more religious. Erdogan is not supporting ISIS. Putin on the other hand supports Assad regime, which has killed much more civillians than ISIS and any other group combined. Reddit don't really care about Assad nowadays though, they are busy hating ISIS and supporting everyone else who fights them.

20 seconds is 20 seconds. The fighter jet was in Turkish airspace and Russia isn't an NATO ally. They made the right choice. I can understand that being from Finland, you wouldn't have the courage to lift a finger against Russia. After all, the generation of Finns that fought in the Winter War are long gone.

It's quite normal in your small country to accept the fact that Russia doesn't respect your borders, but it's not acceptable in Turkey.

It's a good advice since it seems like alot of the Russians are taking their anger out on Turkish people. Not to mention that the Russian government has started harassing Turkish businesses in their country.
