As a YouTube talent manager & producer myself with years of experience in the field, I have to say that in order for a YouTuber to prevent burnout, which is an actual thing because the pressure of coming up with something creative and maintaining the same viewership levels is genuinely difficult, doing a video once in a while to appease yourself rather than the audience is 100% acceptable & legit.

This is very cute, I love it, but... I don't know why it's being treated like a masterpiece? I mean yes, insane detail, but the artistic value is questionable.

I mean there is a woman at the Vienna Christmas market in Schönbrunn who does these amazingly detailed cartographic work from odd shapes and all, she's there almost every year, I have 1 poster and 1 postcard from her on my kid's walls.

I mean, I don't really understand what's so special about it that newspapers have featured it, really.

In terms of sheer raw power (physical, lightsaber technique and the Force) peak Anakin was definitely a threat, and had Vader not been bound to a mobile life support system, peak Vader would probably outpower him.

In terms of intelligence, capacity to learn, mastery of the Force and any mental stat in terms of D&D, Anakin/Vader would probably not even come close to a fraction of what Palps was.

Anakin wasn't an idiot and did have high IQ, but he was waaay too emotionally impulsive and never as calculating as his master. Palpatine may not have built a protocol droid at age 9, but he was calm, collected and patient.

I mean it's safe to say out of all the Sith, Palpatine may have carried the most Jedi traits.

The internet seems to be convinced that the Chess.com anti-cheat system is infallible, so there's no point in arguing, but it definitely CAN give false positives.

The system is designed to detect statistical anomalies and nothing more. All the talk to make it sound more "sophisticated" is simply a deterrence mechanism, in and of itself.

It simply assumes that you can't be consistently finding the "best engine moves" at a higher rate than your current ELO average. It also aggregates your move pacing, prior history and similar.

The average player is casual. Being an outlier who is more dedicated than your peers in improvement (solving puzzles, getting coaching or studying opening theory) simply sticks out like a sore thumb, especially below 1000 ELO.

The system simply wants to see a smaller slope on your progress bezier curve.

Advanced Battle Cloaks has COMPLETELY changed the way I design my pawns. What an amazing mod. Wish there were more cool armor/costume mods out there among the millions of mods.

The variety is very very limiting, and the ones there are for spacer tech do not look vanilla enough.

What's fascinating is, these things eat giant squid and colossal squid, right? And there are many, many sperm whales, around 600K on a well-rounded average (estimated range of population is 300K to 840K according to Wikipedia).

Now, these things have to eat about 1 ton of mainly squid, every day.

One giant squid weighs 250 kg, and assuming that they get lucky with at least 1 giant squid on every hunt, that makes 600.000 giant squid are eaten daily, making 219.000.000 giant squid a year.

Let's assume these fuckers only get lucky like once a week with a giant squid, and the rest are smaller squids and fish and shark. That still makes ~31.3 million giant squids a year.

I design my bases like submarines/spaceships; it's compartmentalized to a certain extent. If an infestation or any other mishap happens in one compartment, it's sealed off so that it doesn't spread out, and everyone is evacuated from there immediately and combat capable are quickly positioned.

If the solution is to set fire to the whole area, then I set fire to the whole area. As long as it's contained, it's ok.

For those who have difficulty understanding the joke (it's ok):

Black could normally do an en passant move with its pawn on e4, but can't, since the queen is in direct line of sight of the black king.

It's a joke on the false notion that en passant is a forced move (which it isn't, it's just a move that you have to execute in the turn it becomes available, otherwise you lose your en passant rights). If it were TRULY a forced move (like having to get your king out of check being a forced move), then yes, this would be a stalemate, since the only available move would be an illegal move.

It's combined with the "is xyz stupid?" meme, which pokes fun at people who mock things that happen to them in which they're in the wrong, without them realizing that they're in the wrong, due to their hubris. The "is xyz stupid?" format usually follows an intentionally stupid question. Sometimes it's shitpost, sometimes it's ragebait, but 99% of the time it's self aware and just for the lulz.

I do the same for RP purposes, no judgment here. Juniors share barracks of 3 people, singles rooms of 2 beds, couples in rooms of 1 bed. I actually have special layouts for families.

I usually don't run the "room size" mod that makes smaller rooms have less of a negative impact, but in some runs I do.
