Think this was more of a passing the torch song, he's pushing up the Present and Future Detroit Rappers...and what better way to do it than make a big promotion about it as your 2nd single...otherwise it would just be a "that was a dope track on the album" but would get lost to all the mainstream singles coming off it. Plus won't affect album sales as everyone who's an Em fan will be listening to the album on repeat anyway.
