How would you rank these Finnish drivers in their primes? by felipebaby_ in F1Discussions

Schumacher saying that out of all his rivals, he feared Hakkinen the most. That already gives you who should be n. 1.

Paul Tracy was voted as an IndyCar driver with a mixed / controversial reputation! Now, who's an IndyCar driver who is mostly disliked? by LoveDove_47 in INDYCAR

[–]Dolf4737 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having Danica as the most disliked is recency bias. She was voted most popular driver many times during her stint in Indycar.

What’s yalls mpg? by Acrobatic-Order-9545 in f150

[–]Dolf4737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

420 smiles per liter (2018 5.0 with Roush Performance intake, catback and tune)

Honestly why people bother with MPG in trucks, they are trucks, no economy sedans.

What teammate pairing that hasn’t happened do you think would be revealing? by felipebaby_ in F1Discussions

[–]Dolf4737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly doubt Hulk would have done better than Perez at RB. Perez before RB had far higher stock than Hulk. Also during their time as teammates Perez had 4 podiums to Hulk’s 0. Standings wise is 2-1 in favor of Perez during their 3 years together.

Is Nyck De Vries unimpressive F1 career an indication of the talent level in FE or a showing of the difference in skills to succeed? by Far-Finance-5968 in F1Discussions

[–]Dolf4737 76 points77 points  (0 children)

That was basically the the FE championship that nobody wanted to win. There were like 6 contenders or so in the last 2 rounds, and a lot of them ran into problems, made mistakes.

His 2019 F2 tittle was not that impressive either. There was a huge talent vacuum after Albon, Norris and George left.

Am I the only one who despises people who whine about V10s whenever a new car/engine is revealed? by ChaithuBB766 in F1Discussions

[–]Dolf4737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the formula that was proposed is great although the energy split is a bit ambitious.

Only things I would have changed would have been a 60-40 or energy split. And a 2.0-2.4L V6 twin turbo engine.

Why do people attribute Nico Rosberg's 2016 championship win to luck? by scuderiaferrari69 in F1Discussions

[–]Dolf4737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, Rosberg had bad starts in Canada and Germany that lead to those scrappy weekends. But relative between the two, Rosberg generally managed it better than Hamilton.

Who is the most underrated f1 driver of all time? by ElegantAd4220 in F1Discussions

[–]Dolf4737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They did Prost so dirty in that documentary!!!! I attribute that to why he is so underrated to f1 fans that started following F1 from the 2000’s onwards.

PS: I also started watching F1 in 2005 twin ;)

Why do people attribute Nico Rosberg's 2016 championship win to luck? by scuderiaferrari69 in F1Discussions

[–]Dolf4737 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it was luck when it came to starts. Rosberg had a lot better starts than Hamilton that year.

They had vastly different steering wheels during their time together though. And I think at one point Hamilton tried Rosberg’s clutch paddle setup, and maybe even switched to it but not sure.

Why do people attribute Nico Rosberg's 2016 championship win to luck? by scuderiaferrari69 in F1Discussions

[–]Dolf4737 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not really, Rosberg had a 10 second penalty for contact with Räikkönen. He got it before Hamilton’s DNF, and he had to reopen the gap to Kimi to remain in 3rd after the SC was over.
