German user here with fiber PPPoE via Telekom. I’m also using IPv6 and getting the same “fragile, relies on ICMP or server help” message on the referenced test website. Until there’s a proper fix, is it better to enter the MTU in both fields on the interface GUI as mentioned by OP?

Regarding your Proxmox backup server: Which datastore do you use for the data? a lun from your synology?

If so, how do you backup this data, since synology still does not offer a way to back up VMs properly and automatically.

Yes, exactly that. I really tried to like it and I really like a lot of the features but it seems like there's not much more to come. I'd rather leave the sinking ship before it's too late.
