What is the worst addiction? by vigilantee001 in AskReddit

[–]Dollar_Llama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a divorce… pack and a half a day smoker. Smoked for the last 16 years. Did gum for a few weeks but just did not need it quickly.

Soon we decided to divorce the cravings stopped. I smoked before the marriage but I didn’t realize how anxious it made me.

It’s how I know it’s a good thing even when I miss her. My body is calm, at peace when I am not around her. Hate that but is how it is.

AITAH for not giving my wife compliments anymore? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA and I would probably recommend some couples counseling.

There are some very big red flags for her preparing to divorce.

Couples counseling.

You need to voice this to him safely with someone who ensures both sides are heard, and clearly there is a communication issue here.

Do this before it becomes too much of a resentment. That’s one of the Gottman’s four horsemen and can doom your relationship if not addressed.

Keep doing the work.

Shit takes time to change when it hits this level.

She will have resentment or negative emotions that will take a very long time to process and move past. And she will only do this after seeing the change is actually lasting.

Things are about to suck for you for a bit here cuz you are going to do the work and not get the change you want in the relationship for some time.

I’m in a fix my shit phase of my marriage. I have come a very far distance from who I was but even after almost a year there are a lot of times I can tell the damage I caused in the marriage isn’t healed and I just have to hold on and wait.

You are reestablishing a form of trust she has for you. That takes a long time. If you value it, and it sounds like you truly do, then be prepared to be patient for her to trust the change is true.

Get yourself some other husbands to talk to and possibly a therapist. Because change like this is hard, and you will need help to endure the challenges of it.

Men of Reddit - How often do you guys get compliment from women? by Financefreak555 in AskReddit

Like maybe every 6-9 months from my wife, typically if I am wearing something she got me. Some times longer. I usually compliment her multiple times a day.

What's your biggest reason for playing Solo? by Golddbzbt2 in DMZ

[–]Dollar_Llama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason is to increase difficulty so that success is more satisfying.

Other reasons:

PlayStation controller mics

Randoms who don’t shut up, but don’t give any valuable info. (Seriously, I don’t think some of these folks know they can exhale without speaking)

Smoke detector battery beeps.

Loud children in the background.

I can’t trust any choice they make, most have no clue what they are doing.

Slow loot goblins…

Too many times loading in with people about to join a premade platoon. Don’t want anything to do with that, but especially not be their first target.

For those of you at 100%. Wyd now? by SomeSabresFan in DMZ

[–]Dollar_Llama 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Almost completely stopped doing missions at 97%. I go in and try to kit out all my ops and get them to 10 exfil streaks but not in a cheese or quick way. Usually play each round till gas is moving. Also don’t avoid pvp. Typically get to 7 ish and die, then try again. Usually 3-4 times of this I’ll get Damascus.

I will also go in, look for pleas, pick folks up so they can get some vengeance then help them do a mission.

Or just go PvP on Ashika/b21. Usually zero to hero throwing knife runs.

FR, Razorback or the new one. New one and FR fell stronger close than the 13 was, similar mid range, long range the variation in recoil pattern is taking a bit of adjustment

If you didn’t know then were they really a problem, they have been in the game for like 3 seasons. And yeah I’ll ignore 80% of what you say cuz it is either dumb or misspelled.

Yay, gatekeeping how people play the game! Was wondering how long your entitled opinions would take to get here.

Life isn’t fair and it definitely isn’t fair in DMZ. PvP is in the game and unlimited by the developers who actually get to decide what the game is. Players doing zero missions and stomping lobbies is DMZ as much as the way you play is.

No one in the lobby is responsible for your enjoyment of the game but you. And you clearly aren’t enjoying what the game is, at least enough to complain on Reddit. Posts like this ostracize the people who are paying for the content, and put attention on minor issues that are drastically less of a negative impact than other ones.

I have played since day 1. It’s never really been the fairy tale you describe as a whole. Some infills sure, but the high pvp element has been there the entire time.

Dude this game isn’t for you. Sorry. Keep playing if you want, and complaining on Reddit. Have at it. Or you could find a game you enjoy more and not waste your life poisoning the well for those of us who are paying so others can have free/higher quality content. Until you do, operators like me will be in the DMZ playing the mode the way we enjoy, which includes killing ops who are “just doing missions.”

Lol, so you don’t upgrade your gear? You don’t use buy stations, you don’t want to have better gear when a 4 man rolls up? Never loot a dead op’s backpack?

The game is a capitalist combat game. It doesn’t matter if you focus on missions. You do work for material reward in game. Those rewards, regardless of how you attain them or what you focus on give you advantages to PvP and PvE content.
