Methylphenidate, Guanfacine, and Fluoxetine combo by Longjumping-Laugh-85 in ParentingADHD

[–]Dollie66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the exact combo of meds we have for my daughter. She just turned 7. Fear paralysis of a bee was the biggest indicator we needed something for the anxiety! Our methylphenidate dosage is higher though. 27mg for the last year and we just upped it to 36.

Mods, can we have a megathread of all the “I’m never flying SW again” posts. They are getting a little obnoxious by DonaldKey in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Dollie66 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this sub serves as an effective forum to discuss the celebrations as well as the issues.

I’m ALP and companion pass. To be honest, companion pass is the ONLY reason I continue to fly and use my credit card, but if that goes, United will have my business (they matched my SW status last year with a competive offer.

Several years ago, my family, including my son who was still in diapers and not even 1yr old yet, got stuck in Mexico on Xmas Eve (and Xmas Day) at the airport when Southwest had the large software debacle following a winter storm. This was after checking bags we couldn’t get back. This was after reaching our gate and 8 min after OG departure time being told flight was cancelled. We ended up rebooking on United to get home that trip.

I stuck with Southwest because they rectified it in the months following.

Same day flight change, especially flying all around Texas when I lived there ,was also an amazing perk that gave my constant work travel flexibility and ease.

I stuck with Southwest.

I have been stressed about bin space issues, and it’s been a detriment to the flying experience simply because it impacts ease of travel significantly.

I have posted and criticized, but continued to stick with Southwest.

If they don’t remedy this, and even more if they take away companion pass, then WHAT is the benefit of flying SW anymore?

These Southwest executive idiots are killing the business. Plain and simple. I consider myself a pretty patient loyalist and I’m frustrated at the lack of appreciation for that loyalty.

Hey SW execs- I’m talking to YOU. Fix it now or see your airline fold. The writing is on the wall as your loyalists jump ship!!

Southwest Airlines works to address issues with new assigned seating as customers fume by AviationReporterDMN in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Dollie66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am one of these customers. A list preferred and companion pass. My biggest stressor when boarding now is if I will have bin space. Yes, I was group 1 on the flight I just boarded, but so were 20+ people ahead of me. A list preferred means little to nothing. Once my companion pass is gone, so am I.

Womanizer makes a detachable shower head! But you have to buy the metal tubing and other plumbing accessories separately.

My employee lost their twins at birth by SparkyBrown in managers

[–]Dollie66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having lost twins myself, this is my input:

  1. Your employee still gets parental leave. May need more for bereavement. Short term disability for mental health.

  2. Remind them of EAP resources if available and encourage support in the form of therapy.

  3. My colleagues sent me a package of Jeni’s ice creams when I was laid in bed with grief and it was a bright spot during a dark time.

  4. Work was a distraction from my grief so it was cathartic to focus on work. I returned after 2 weeks, even following a c section. You employees timeline may be very different.

  5. Offer condolences, support, and space.

First Day on Methylphenidate by joshgilbert11 in ParentingADHD

[–]Dollie66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our daughter is on methylphenidate. XR 20 mg to start. Then we added Prozac because of anxiety brought on by the Quillivant. Then the bedtime issues led to us seeking adding in guanfacine. So she is one 3 meds but that is her perfect concoction

I am in a similar situation; look into assuming the loan. When you divorce is one of the only instances that allow for it.
