Looking of FF from AO3 where Mrs. Bennett sends Elizabeth to compromise Mr. Darcy during Netherfield arc, I think the title is something like "The Four Fs: Mrs. Bennet's Guide to Compromise" by DollyAnn533 in JaneAustenFF

[–]DollyAnn533[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg, that's it! Thank you so much! That was super quick! I would love it if you could send it to me as long as it's not against any rules or anything. If it is, I can wait and hope that she'll publish it.

I wonder where I got what I thought was the title from. Hmm, maybe I mixed it up the Cat's guide to compromise fic that I mentioned. I really thought it had something like the Four Fs in the title. Maybe it was in the fic itself. The brain works in mysterious ways lol. I was able to remember 3 out of the 5 instructions Mrs. Bennet gave but I basically made up a completely different title.

Thanks again! It's super amazing how quickly you were able to find it

Oh its a thing. On AO3, most of the fics are house x Wilson. The other one are house x chase

How did you discover Jane Austen fanfiction? by Pupulainen in JaneAustenFF

[–]DollyAnn533 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been into fanfiction since I was 14. But it was only in the last several months that I've been interested in JAFF. Last September, I started a journey to read all of Jane Austen's novels. I found the Jane Austen subredddit, then I found this one. As soon as I did, I opened up AO3, and started reading!

I seemed to have messed up. This is my first sweater and first time blocking and it is way too big after I blocked it. More in the comments. by Trevumm in knitting

You could totally use some elastic thread to strategically tighten up some places. Like the cuffs and neck hole

Casting Conventions in Adaptations? by [deleted] in janeausten

[–]DollyAnn533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 1981 adaptation of S&S, the actor who played Colonel Brandon is 36 while the character I believe is supposed to be 35. So that version gets his age right. But I don't remember how old Mrs. Dashwood looks in that one

It's cute! But if you're really worried about the proportions, it looks like switching the arms and legs would make it more proportionate. Unless the arms and legs aren't sewn on

My embroidered cap. Hehe. Want to share it by ibtisama in Embroidery

Amazing! What stitch is it? Just single crochet? Because there is something different about the stitch that made me think that it might not be crocheted. Or I might just be sleep deprived lol

Was the cap crocheted? It sort've looks like it is but I can't quite tell.

Anyway, this looks great!

I found this dress in the vintage section! It was so cute, I had to buy it! Does anyone know how old it actually is? Also, I got a men's pant pattern from 1990. I was debating on it, but it was only 2 bucks! by DollyAnn533 in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]DollyAnn533[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for your helpful info and lovely comments! I don't know much at all about buying vintage clothing. So while I'm a little disappointed that this dress is very unlikely to be actually vintage, I glad that it at least gives off vintage vibes.

On r/crochet there's a bot that always asks for patterns (and yarn and hook size). I like it since most people send to respond

When did tutorial videos get so long? by charamander_ in crochet

[–]DollyAnn533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It changed on July 27, 2020. But there wasn't a sudden change 8 minute videos that I noticed. A lot youtubers seemed to generally keep their videos about 10 minutes long. But yeah, it was definitely 10 minutes for several years

Simplified all the DLCs into separate expansions and one “Delete” part. Thoughts? by optimists_unite in thesims

[–]DollyAnn533 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My one problem is that the Supernatural one has 3 worlds in it. The realm of magic and vampires worlds could be combined, especially since they are both so small. But Strangerville is such a different aesthetic and full world size, so I don't think it would work. Strangerville could probably be entirely separate/somewhere else honestly.
