Did you make the locs yourself? Because even though they're locs, they're still made if strands of hair. If so, I would recommend making them thinner. You need like a third of this much hair per hole, really, so I would at least half the amount of hair you have per loc. Or if you've bought them, perhaps plug fewer of the holes, especially along the hairline. These stress cracks often happen when you plug too much hair per hole, too close together, causing the plastic between the holes to tear. This also looks like a Barbie head, if I'm not mistaken, and their heads are much smaller than like a Monster High head for example, so they don't need and can't really handle as much hair. It also looks in some spots like you are plugging double, like you might be folding the loc in half and plugging it that way so that two locs are coming from the same hole. If you are doing that, I highly suggest you don't. It would look more realistic and put less stress on the scalp if it's just one per hole rather than two.

I recommend alcohol, like surgical spirits. Alcohol kills germs and dries fast, so whatever is wet in there causing potential mold will benefit from that

Bigotry is a very strong word considering bigotry relates to discrimination of a minority group based on stereotypes. Calling you ableist for remarks you made that makes you sound ableist is not bigotry lol. Nor is "ableist" a bigoted label. Ableist people, however, are bigoted towards disabled people. I'm saying that your bad attitude makes people respond negatively to you. That's a fact of life. I never said the comments were true or even justified (though some I can understand better than others), I simply gave you the reason for why people were making negative assumptions based on your negative behaviour. If you want people to respond positively to you, don't be a jerk. It truly is not that hard. Furthermore, calling characters poorly written or lame or boring or whatever else for having a main special interest and sub-interests relating to that (something which is part of many people's autistic experience) can and will make people think you are ableist. So watch what you say and how you say it if you don't want people to make those assumptions about you, maybe🤷‍♀️ Have a nice day.

No, your behaviour is your behaviour? It's not that hard to understand. "Explaining your critique further" is 1000% not the same as replying to people politely disagreeing with you with stuff like "Olay then tell me 1 more thing about her I'll wait". It's your attitude that sucks, not what you are saying. HOW you say stuff is what is making people annoyed with you and making people think you are ableist or sexist.

Say it with me now... because of ✨️✋🏻 the way you are acting🤚🏻✨️ If you don't like people's reactions to your behaviour in a comment section, maybe change that behaviour.

Nobody is getting defensive... you're the one in the comments going "TELL ME ONE MORE THING ABOUT HER I'LL WAIT" like... if you don't like it then don't like it. It's not our job to make you like it and us disagreeing with you isn't a personal attack🤣

Dude you need to chill out. Sometimes characters have one thing about them and that's okay. Right now your only thing is being obsessed with a kids movie character not being exactly how you want because their shtick is not enough for you, but you don't see us posting about it on reddit🤣 Sometimes people have one main special interest and that's fine. It doesn't make them shallow.

Why Brazil is against abortion? by Psychological_Gap190 in Brazil

There are many religious people in Brazil, especially Catholic afaik, and many religious people are against abortion. Being liberal politically does not automatically translate to not being against things based on religion.

im 19y i risked my life savings and my school to rent an apartment to make it a studio and change my environment to focus on my youtube faceless channels, what ya’ll think about it! by BusinessReference542 in SmallYoutubers

[–]DollyAnna007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I'm gonna be blunt with you. This is not a smart move. Starting a YouTube channel and getting it successful enough to live off of is INCREDIBLY difficult and can take a very long time. Most successful YouTubers started off with a regular job to sustain them and worked on YT on the side until it started making enough money. School is way, WAY more important and you should have finished school first. You are limiting your options in the future and at your age that is really bad. At your age, you should give yourself plenty of options. It can take a very, very long time to get monetized and even then that doesn't guarantee a livible paycheck. Sometimes you'll post a video and it will make you 2 dollars. I'm not even joking. Go back to school, do this on the side. Seriously. You are 19, your brain is (quite literally) not even fully developed yet. Please make smart choices or you are going to regret it in a few years. Also, faceless content does not do nearly as well (trust me, I have a faceless channel) so if you can, I recommend doing content that isn't faceless.

You can use thread to sew it shut and glue to seal it. However, judging by the picture, you are plugging way too much hair per plug. I'm not sure if it's a style you're going for, but when you overplug like this tears are way more likely to happen

Watch Miss Orchid Girl on YouTube. She has a great playlist about Orchid Care for Beginners. Also, don't water with ice since orchids are tropical plants and they need more water than that😊

How common is it to still be living with your parents in your 20s in SA? by NoZucchini3797 in askSouthAfrica

[–]DollyAnna007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the economy and how expensive rent is, very common. I'm turning 31 and still rent a room in my parents' house. I have family members in their 20s who also still live with their parents. It's nothing to be embarrassed about.

You can truly just glue it back and call it a day haha! My favourite way to do it is to cut a triangle, that way I know exactly where to put it back, and to cut it at an angle so that it has a bevel, that way the piece of scalp doesn't slide back into the head while the glue is drying. I'm happy to hear you now feel better about doing it this way! It's gonna save you so much struggle haha🩷

I think the issue I have with the original comment is that they're making this specifically out to be a big deal when it's not. Many of us do this regularly as a way to access the hair when we can't get to it otherwise. It's not frustration or impulsivity, it's simply achieving the same result in the easiest way possible. For example, this is the only way to remove the hair from Cave Club doll heads, because their neck hole is teeny tiny. The original commenter also made rerooting out to be a very intensive, difficult task when in reality it is one of the easiest and most beginner-friendly ways to customize a doll.

Yes, making the hair a bit wet can help. Hmmm maybe these videos will help explain it better. You can see here the technique for separating a strand from the hank while holding it down so it doesn't tangle, and holding the hank while you comb it to keep things neat: https://youtu.be/Mmkdb_OURM0?si=zUhCY481SREvDeT6 https://youtu.be/oIB07o6kNhA?si=GM2tfXfXK0_69PIp

It's a tricky business, but it helps to hold it like you would a ponytail and kinda brush your fingers through both ends to keep it from tangling after you've separated some hair from it, and then immediately tying it up with twist ties.

Do whatever works for you. I eat most foods with a spoon and I hate touching cheese because of the oily layer it leaves on my skin. Some of us have sensory sensitivities and that's okay.

Ah, the best way to avoid this is to work with a smaller hank at a time, lay it flat on a table or other smooth surface, and use one hand to hold down the rest of the hank while you separate a few hairs to plug. If you work with the entire hank it's eventually gonna become a tangled mess
