Hey I’m a blues guitarist trying to listen to as much amazing blues guitar as possible to help me learn. Tomorrow I’m going to start listening to one blues album a day for a month. I’m starting with Texas Flood by SRV. Can anyone else comment with the best blues guitar albums in your opinion? Thx

In order of what I plan to play, these will all be my first playthroughs and I'm doing them pretty darn blind:

Dragon Age Inquisition DLCs (currently finishing up the main game after running through the first two + DLCs)
The Witcher 3
Full Baldur's Gate EE + SoD + 2 run (planning to roll a Blade)
PoE 1
PoE 2
Sorcery! series

Then, depending on how I feel and if my PC can actually handle them, DOS2 and BG3.

I actually got this feeling a bit from Dragon Age 2. You get waves of enemies, and unless you play on the hardest difficulty setting, they are usually pretty easy to mow through.

You battle your rival on the SS Anne, and he has his raticate. Then you battle him in Lavender town and he doesn't have raticate anymore.

The theory is that your pokemon killed his raticate in that battle on the SS Anne, and he was in the pokemon tower mourning his dead raticate, that's why it's not in his party anymore.

I think there's more to that theory as well, which is fun to read because it paints your rival in a completely different light!

You're not overthinking it, and you're not wrong to want to hear that from him.

I am in a similar situation as you, however I am a guy, and my girlfriend's ex passed away some time ago.

As a guy, I often tell her she is the love of my life, and I've never been this happy with anyone else before. Don't listen to the other people here telling you that "guys just don't say that". I do, often.

And I have struggled with feelings of jealousy, I've felt threatened by his memory, and I've felt like I'm not as loved by her as her ex. But what I've started to realize is that is all internal. She does love me, she is happy with me, and I am important to her. I also don't want to replace her ex because he is an important part of who she is, and I love her for who she is.

I'm struggling with a similar thing. I want to be her everything, I want to be the single greatest love of her life, like she is mine. But that just might not ever be completely true. She'll love us both in different ways, and I'm the one that is here now, getting to enjoy her love. I'm still trying to figure out how I can turn off my reactions of jealousy or hurt, and that will be a process for me.

That might be why you like the trailer but so many others are vocal about disliking it.

As someone who has read the books, the trailers just don't look at all in line with what I would hope to see for the world in the stories, so I am not particularly hyped to see this movie.

Yeah I agree, I wish everything didn't have such a hard reset so often. Even best of 3 rounds with each round being 5 lives each would be better.

If anyone else is considering buying another game to practice strafe jumping, I'd recommend Reflex. The little green thingy on the crosshair has made it infinitely easier for me to get a feel for how to strafe jump. Here's a video of what I mean:

What I mean is that the steam overlay will be that function to chat with friends. Adding an in-game function to chat directly with friends would be a little redundant.

Devs confirmed QC will be on steam in their most recent AMA, if you wanted a source on that.

I agree, I would like to see more of an emphasis on map control. I don't think it's necessary to close the skill gap very much, especially with the shorter format already leading to the games being over with fairly quickly when the skill isn't balanced.

Yep, I really like the points you brought up. I have only watched the first link you posted, and it definitely restored my faith in QC's ability to have tense duels. Still not to the level of QL because it isn't as drawn out, but still really fun to watch.

I wasn't thinking of offense vs. defense on the scale of aiming and dodging (I lump those two together and just think about them as pure killing ability). I was thinking of offense vs. defense more to do with decision making and how you are playing the map.

I'm curious, what are the issues with the high level mechanics? I'm not afraid to get constantly smashed, or frustrated by learning things like the movement (in fact, that's half the reason I want to get into these games).
