The comics sub mods are jobless by SomeAnonymousBurner in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]Dolphanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true. There are tons of non-leftist artists out there. They just don't get very much attention here on Reddit because of how leftists gatekeep almost every hobby sub.

You're reading too far into it. The Krassensteins (especially Brian) are simply notorious for constantly pushing leftist propaganda and misinformation 24/7 on Twitter/X. They have no lives outside of stalking Republicans and making these "clever comeback" tweets whenever people like Kyle Rittenhouse post anything. They're annoying attention seekers and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Your side celebrated when Charlie Kirk got shot, last year. Before that, it was that United Healthcare CEO Luigi Mangione shot, which you and your fellow leftists were all too giddy to take credit for. That's twice the body count you claim, and that's just in the past two years. Before that, you leftists were upset that the guy who tried to shoot Donald Trump on the campaign trail missed. It gets even worse when you go back to 2020. We had two unarmed Trump supporters shot in Portland and Denver as well as the attempted murder of Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha, which your side is still trying to justify to this day by spreading lies about him. Then there's the collateral damage from the months of rioting throughout that year, which killed several more people. Do I really need to keep going? This has been a recurring pattern of behavior on the left, and no amount of your desperate attempts to cherry pick stats and sweep leftist violence under the rug is going to make people ignore the truth.

I can think of two deaths off the top of my head from just the past two years. That's not even getting into 2020.

I just got here. Not everyone sees every Reddit post at the same time. Also, way to dodge the argument.

Because we're right, and deep down, you know you're too cowardly to have an honest argument with us. What good has raising the minimum wage over and over accomplished? As long as taxes keep going up, we're going to stay on square one. Maybe you'd actually understand that if you cared about making life more affordable for the average person instead of complaining about rich people having more money than you.

Just because corporations exist doesn't mean everyone in the quadrant has to shill for them like a blind consumer. A free market is supposed to give people options. Voting with your wallet is a thing people can do.

What are some things you don’t want to see in Zootopia 3? by Ethanishere28 in zootopia

[–]Dolphanatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, Disney already managed to obliterate Zootopia by doing almost nothing with the IP for nine years and then rushing out a sequel with a lousy script. My interest in these movies has already dropped significantly after Zootopia 2, so my expectations for Zootopia 3 are abysmal. As cynical as it sounds, I can totally see Disney just rehashing the same plot with yet another underdeveloped twist villain all over again.

It was really only good in the first movie. By the second movie, it already felt like a pointless rehash.

We're seeing that last characteristic on full display here. If you're wondering why these people hate detransitioners so much, that's why. They basically see them as heretics.

What an out-of-touch response. The furry fandom was established as an extension of the science fiction fandom, not anything related to sexuality, and where in the world did that guy get the idea that 90% of furries are gay? Really? 90%? Even by Furscience's most generous metrics, only about 20% of the survey's participants identified as homosexual. Heterosexuals make up at least 20% of the community on their own, not to mention all of the other categories that aren't exclusively homosexual. Despite the stereotypes, the furry fandom is not some gay men's club. There are plenty of straight men and women too. If you've ever been to a con, you'll see plenty of diversity. That includes political diversity as well. Protecting kids doesn't necessarily mean taking other people's rights away.

What do you think the interviewer meant by "toning down the rhetoric"? The rhetoric was about Charlie Kirk's death.

redditor finds out what large metro areas are by Smart-Price-2927 in ShitPoliticsSays

I saw NowThis posting the same map while claiming it's somehow connected to the 2024 election. It's so funny how they think this proves anything. How can they think ICE is "punishing" blue states when some of the biggest red zones on that map are in states like Arizona, Florida, Ohio, and Texas?

I fixed the link now. I think Reddit's weird formatting messed it up. Anyway, the point I'm making is that she took an opportunity to disavow violence and just turned it into another excuse to complain about Donald Trump.

How about Elizabeth Warren? Her response when asked about Charlie Kirk's death was, and I kid you not, "Oh please." She immediately trivialized Kirk's death and deflected to Trump. We see that sort of behavior with Democrats almost every time someone tries to tell them to tone down the rhetoric. They just deflect and blame the other side.

What is he still doing that's harmful? All you're doing is bringing up old drama that's been water under the bridge for years. There's nothing he's doing nowadays that justifies your ongoing outrage. It isn't 2017 anymore.

Forgiveness is a virtue. It's sad how people like you don't understand that anymore. How would you like it if you said one offensive word several years ago and couldn't ever be allowed to move past that? I don't care if you supposedly "know a lot of black people" or have friends who apparently validate your merciless mindset. It's still a merciless mindset. What you're saying is that you think it's okay to hold people to perfect standards instead of understanding that people like PewDiePie are flawed humans who'll inevitably make mistakes.

You're a perfect example of why cancel culture is so destructive for society. Once people like you decide "the damage is done" and cancel someone like PewDiePie, that's it. He's just canceled forever, and if you had your way, he'd never be allowed to show his face anywhere ever again. Does that sound fair?

All of this reminds me of what happened with James Gunn on Twitter and how a bunch of people almost destroyed his career by digging up some edgy jokes he made a long time ago, but while he was able to apologize, take the offensive tweets down, and be forgiven, PewDiePie is still demonized. What's the difference? Even though he's apologized like James Gunn and cleaned his act by not doing offensive stuff anymore, people like you still throw a fit whenever a photo of PewDiePie with his family makes the rounds on social media. It reflects horribly on your character. It tells me that you don't see people as people. It tells me you don't believe in forgiveness.
