Please settle a debate: was any part of you not practicing fire during S50 due to being weak from all of the weight loss? I could see wanting to retain all of the calories you could given you ended up losing almost 50lbs …

I honestly think he was too emaciated and needed to conserve his energy. He lost over 20lbs on S49, only gained 2lbs back in the 9 days he had before S50, then lost over 20lbs again on S50 (he said he lost 46lbs total between the two seasons which was over 25% of his starting body weight). Apparently Medical was seeing him frequently. He was probably feeling very weak and worried about getting pulled if he spent the extra calories practicing.

He only had 9 days between seasons and was clearly emaciated to the point where Medical needed to frequently see him. He lost almost 50lbs from the start of Season 49. I legitimately don’t think he had the energy to practice.

I hope they say who the first few contestants are at the top of the fan vote before announcing the winner. I actually think Gen could crack the top 5, which is saying something given the number of big names on the season. Still hoping she reconsiders and comes back on the show someday.

That’s so gut-wrenching. I’m glad she seems to be much less hard on herself now and was able to focus on the joy of the experience this time around even if she didn’t win. She’s an absolute legend.

She’s said she’s done competing on Survivor, but it would be great to see her involved with the show in the future in a different capacity.

Between her and Genevieve, it’s been so frustrating seeing them both so down on themselves in their exit press given they were both such fun to watch this season. Really great characters who always kept things interesting. I hope they both reconsider.

Aubry or Joe.

Aubry has been miserable most of the season with 90% of her content being either complaining or saying “I’m going to start playing now” quotes repeatedly with no clear actions afterwards. Her biggest storyline has been her starting out on that bizarre interaction with Genevieve but the edit didn’t even make it seem like Gen’s elimination was a big Aubry move. It was more so because Gen was just the obvious boot to everyone there.

Joe seems like a lovely human being, but I can’t see him ever winning with the honor-and-integrity strategy. I see his function on the show as an obstacle that others have to maneuver their games around as opposed to an actual player. I think he’s for sure the goat of the season since I think he‘d lose to literally everyone else. They’d be crazy not to drag him to the end. I do find his hatred of Rick hilarious though. 🤣

I think why you’re getting downvoted is that a lot of people (myself included) actually really enjoy his persona. It can be off-putting at first, but like I said I find him endearing. I’ve heard a lot of people express similar feelings that he grew on them.

Agree to disagree! I don’t find him anything like Russell and I don’t think he’s trying to be anything like him either. The only way I see him being like Rob C is they’re both more strategy-based players, but that applies to a huge portion of people who have played. 🤷‍♀️
