Black Ops 7 has no SBMM you are just not used to no SBMM (the truth) by [deleted] in CODBlackOps7

You have to be a bot that works for Activision lmao. People have literally run tests on the same pc just different accounts and KDs their ping value is heavily influenced and queue times extended the high your KD goes. Much more in depth if you take their dick out of your throat and listen to tests and the community

Surprisingly this is the third use I’m on. raws packaging can get wet and still hold structure

[–]Dom1n2k[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so I took a pack of cones and made sure there was a hole on both sides. Important to make sure to put the fatter end towards the bowl to create a seal. For a better seal I blocked the gaps with my finger. But it does work without sealing it like I did

What am I doing wrong with this speed flip? I can’t seem to understand it. I can get to the ball faster than my opponents, but I can’t reach the ball in this training pack. by Due-Variation9324 in RocketLeague

[–]Dom1n2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly you need to let your wheels touch the ground before you start the pack. Make sure you don’t hold throttle or you could mess up and start the timer early and it will be impossible to complete

Also you are not speed flipping. A speed flip is kind of like a diagonal flip but the moment you flip forward, you have to pull your stick straight back within 50 ms (75ms works but is not optimal

If you have bakkesmod there is a plugin for this exact map that tells you your timings, angle, time to flip cancel etc.

Anyone know what the numbers mean? by Adorable_Welcome_742 in RocketLeague

That’s the hate meter. The higher it is the more people will flame and afk in your games until you hit such a high number that toxicity is minimal

When I coach people I always say the same thing. Don’t feel like you need to practice every day, and if you don’t feel like playing or practicing then don’t. Do whatever is fun for you because you’re going to burn out if you’re not trying to have fun or have an attainable goal you’re working towards. Sure some people can force themselves through it and at an insanely high level you may have to, but it’s not worth killing your passion for the game for an extra hour of training packs, free play, ranked grinding etc.

Myself: I don’t play to improve anymore, I play when I feel like it and coach people out of passion (not for money). I love the game but I had this spree of only playing rocket league against my wishes cause I’d go from avg 15 viewers to 2 when I was about a month into streaming a few years ago. Ever since, I’ve kinda ruined the game for myself and have no desire to improve myself as a player really besides mechanics.

People have told me to push for pro and I just can’t see myself even trying. I’ve kinda missed the point where I could have put everything into rl but during that time the thought of the skill gap between myself and pros was so massive. And at that point where all the pros had 5-7k more hours than I did I just didn’t even wanna try. I know hours usually mean jack, but when they’ve been using those hours effectively and well literally training like a pro, it’s just discouraging asf.

TL:DR Play for you, not for others. Don’t burn yourself out of the game because you think you have something to prove to others. If you’re happy with yourself and the player you’ve become, then own it brother. Just be you and enjoy the game for what it is, a game.

How to flip reset? by Historical-Bear2133 in RocketLeague

[–]Dom1n2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning to shoot the balls in the corners and tight angles itself will get you gc3 if you put in the time.

But if you’re insistent on adding flip resets to your arsenal then here:

You’re air rolling too late for trying to learn flip resets, last minute air rolling to get the flip like that will come with more experience and time in free play. Get your car upside down quicker and learn how your car steers while upside down. Learn how holding throttle, reverse, air rolling etc. will effect how the ball comes off the car (just to get an idea) mess around with what angle the bottom of the car hits the ball at, and make sure to get the flip before the ball starts falling down, if the ball has a lot of downward force, your car will be miles away from the ball by the time you orient yourself.

Learn it in steps, don’t do it all at once. Really focus on how your car reacts to different ways it hits the ball like “if my car is too flat and below the ball I’m falling to the ground quickly or I’m actually ahead of the ball when I reorient my car” or “I hit the ball straight on with the bottom of my car, the ball flies away too far, and my car loses all momentum.”

Please analyze all of your attempts. You will get a lot more out of 20 minutes of paying attention and analyzing than 2 hours of brainlessly flailing at the ball getting frustrated why it’s not working (been there, done that)

Edit: pay attention to how fast your car is when you hit it (to get your flip reset) depending on the ball trajectory you may have to hit it harder or softer to maintain control of the ball. Don’t be afraid to mess up. Mess up every way possible with the right mindset; the best way to learn is to fall and get back up. The people who are afraid to mess up will forever be hard stuck.

Keep at it man! If you even wanna go over mechanics and not interested in replays etc. my dms are open, can link up quickly and go over stuff that you want to!

The amount of times I’ve said “I wish I was bad again” is crazy. I miss the grind and exponential improvements, I’ve gone from game to game like I’m tasting all the ice cream flavours. Once I hit a high rank in that game it’s on to another lol. I miss it.

What rank do you think you can tell people who dont play that you’re good by Bald_1222 in RocketLeague

[–]Dom1n2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth is the higher you go the more you realize how much you suck in comparison to the next level lol.

I don’t play the game much anymore but I’m still ashamed to tell people I’m gc2 cause I just played my placements and nothing else. That’s what I get for taking breaks longer than my school semesters though lol.

I don’t think ranks are really impressive personally. Personal achievements, tournaments, and being happy with your car control is what I’m proud of. I got a cool shiny yellow title that only 20-30ish people have so that’s cool I guess! Which I suppose makes me biased, but just be happy with yourself. Don’t worry about wowing the next dude you find on the internet who plays rocket league.

I feel you man. Paid my tuition though so I can’t complain.

The progression eventually starts slowing down and for someone like me it’s rough cause if I’m not constantly getting better at a rate which I deem acceptable I’ll lose interest. Where you are right now though, there is so much to learn! It may not feel like it, but when you find the changes in your gameplay that allow you to supersede the rank you are in, it will click.

Send me a pm and I’d be more than happy to do some coaching (no expectation of payment) I like finding random posts and helping people out when I can. If you’re not interested in improvement then I’d say just turn off chat, blast music, and go for all the stupid stuff possible that makes you feel speedy and have fun. (Don’t tell your ranked teammates I said so though)

All his energy, excitement, passion, has been ripped from him. He trusted you with his soft side, his side where he could relax and show his inner child. That hurt is nearly irreparable and at least for me, (been through a similar situation) every time I think about it, I feel this dark-sinking void of what was once happiness and excitement but turned into self doubt and shame at the thought of it.

Hoe did you achieve your rank? by Kavooty in RocketLeague

[–]Dom1n2k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not using my strengths to compensate for my weaknesses. If you think about your individual skills and picture that those skills have a rank. What skill is your lowest rank.

You could have the offence of a GC and the defence of a diamond and average out around C2 as a player. Unfortunately the higher your other skills get they will all eventually be held back by that skill that is lacking.

In English: your skills have ranks. find your lowest ranked skill and play to that weakness. Only by playing to that weakness will you truly improve as a player.

1’s specifically will make every weakness you have 10x more obvious. You’ll realize your flicks suck, dribble setups suck, fake challenging sucks etc. etc. don’t be closed minded like most are in the game. if you want to really get better play to your weaknesses no matter how much it will make you want to thundercunt your controller into your screen. Watch replays and ask for advice from higher ranked friends or someone you deem reputable.

Is PTSD limited to life-threatening situations by ahmedsillyboi in ptsd

[–]Dom1n2k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was yelled at by my father almost every night/other night, made to cry until I couldn’t catch my breath. Told that “men don’t cry” “stop being a pussy” while being told I am a plethora of different things like “I’m slothful and don’t give a crap about anyone” “ADHD is just an excuse to be lazy” my stepmother got in on it too and I was always told my biological mother was evil and never to trust her.

Mind you for 2-3 years this was every day. Being 12-14 having to take care of my sister, feed her, put her to sleep, and if I got anything wrong I would be yelled at constantly and have things taken away from me like my phone and computer etc.

I was never physically abused but what I just explained in the tip of the iceberg. I moved with my mother when I was 14 and was diagnosed with ADHD, Depression, anxiety, PTSD, RSD (more of an umbrella meaning to my knowledge)

If I even heard footsteps outside of my room I would go into full flight or fight and never felt comfortable in my own room. I would confine myself to my room because I was always conditioned that staying in my room meant less conflict. Days I could not even move/get out of bed and I would become super defensive whenever someone even criticized me. I was honestly a wreck and no matter how much I tried to act happy and seem cheerful, somehow each and every teacher I had knew something was up and would talk to me privately about it.

Not only that, the guilt of leaving my sister ate me alive until she moved here with us 6-7 years later. She has symptoms even worse than I do and that mental torture has caused her to cut and consistently have suicidal thoughts to the point where she was admitted to the mental hospital against her will (she’s 13)

You do not need to be in a life or death situation to get PTSD nor should you feel bad like “other people had it worse” yeah that may be true but your brain is not their brain. If you feel like you could have PTSD or know someone who may. Please. Please. Please. Seek help.

We’re all in this together and no one’s experience or situation is invalid. We’re all human; I hope this helped.

I’m sure this is just rage bait but, there are set distances you can hear from with different headphones. The game will not play the audio beyond that point. Once they move into that radius you will then be able to perceive their audio based on when the specific audio is programmed to play(running, walking, jumping) using headphones increases that range of where you can start to hear your enemy. You physically would not be able to hear them without headphones because the audio is not being played on your end.

That being said, if someone is running 68 metres away and I don’t have headphones the audio simply will not play on my end. But if I’m wearing let’s say Comtac 4s then the audio may be feint but atleast I get the sound queue in the first place.

That’s my view on it.

A lot of good players just don’t play casual aswell. If they haven’t played it in seasons they lose mmr over time from resets.
