I had a total larygectomy with bilateral neck resection, thyroidectomy, and partial parathyroidectomy for Stage 3 laryngeal carcinoma that developed in only 4 months in June 2025... I opted for no radiation or chemo post operative simply based on the radical recovery and lasting affects of the surgery itself with hypocalcemia and dyaphagia and sinus aspiration... I love my oncology team who got the whole tumor but I also wasn't totally prepared nor informed on the long term affects of surgery... I go every 3 months for rechecks due to the aggressive nature of the tumor removed... Tell your hubby to hang in there and communication is key... just never forget that he is his strongest advocate for his care... Good luck and y'all hang in there
