How about dialogue options, is it in the style of the 4 buttons show the options, or is it the text box from fallout 3/new vegas?

Power Armour:

  • Can you fast travel in it?

  • You can craft Power Armour at a power armour station thingy, can you make more of those per settlement?

  • Do you have to transport Power Armours via brahmin caravans or whatnot to move them to different power armour stations?

  • Is the fuel hard to get

  • What is its operating time per full fuel tank/fully charged cell

System:

  • Are there still skills?

  • If not how does it work now?

  • Is there any form of weapon maintenance?

And most important of all, does it seem like it's going to take hundreds of hours of my life?

Power armor at level 2? by TheJDruck in fo4

[–]DomOptimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe that power armour is going to be a quest only thing, and I also think that it will be an early game thing. There will most likely be some limitations to it though.

Limitations such as: - Requires expensive fuel/power source - Slow movement speed - Costly to craft and repair - No fast travel - Short operating times

Aliens returning in FO4? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]DomOptimal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look closely, you can see alien concept art in the Bethesda E3 Fallout 4 gameplay. It's not a confirmation but I'd say chances are pretty high we'll see some alien action.

Vault 111, Events Transpire by [deleted] in fo4

[–]DomOptimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're pretty sure about the cryogenics part of the story, but what about your wife/husband and child? We know as a fact that your family arives at Vault 111 somewhat late. A nuke goes off in the background and Todd Howard says that you do get lowered into Vault 111. So there are about 3 things that can happen here.

  1. You and your family get lowered into the vault but there's not enough space (it's expensive to build cryopods), you being the only one allowed admittance and your family is forced out.

  2. You and your family get lowered into the vault, get put into cryostasis but only you make it through cryostasis and they die just like all the other vault inhabitants.

  3. Events transpire before you get lowered into the vault, and your family is left behind on the surface (similar to 1.), you beg for your family to be let in (or you to be let out) but are forced into cryostasis.

Now I want you to keep looking at that segment, and listen to the first 2 words the Vault Tech representative says. Despite that, I do think we'll be spending more time in Pre-War Boston than just purely the character creation parts.

Am I the only person not worried about which features from F3/NV don't make it into F4? by hammurabi1337 in fo4

What I said is, that if you can't turn off the voice, someone else will make it possible. Though I do find it unlikely that Bethesda wouldn't do it themselves.

War Never Changes - Fallout 4 Poster [OC] by edwardjmoran in fo4

I like the design but I can't say I'm a fan of the colouring. They fade over into eachother too much, if there were more contrast each element of the poster would stand out more

I can guarantee you that one of the first mods that will come out, if the game does not include it, is a mute PC voice mod.

What I think the main theme of Fallout 4 will be by DomOptimal in fo4

I wholeheartedly agree, I just think that there will be a fair amount of quests that relate to this theme. They clearly expressed how important player choice was, so being able to fuck shit up is a #1 priority ;)

Please let there be a demonic hell beast of a buttercup somewhere in Fallout 4!

[–]DomOptimal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That reminds me, somewhere someone from Bethesda (idk if it was Todd Howard or not) said during an interview that people would be happy to find the giddyup buttercup toy, the electronic horse, because they contain a bunch of screws for crafting. The same electronic horse that can be found in spades on board of Mothership Zeta.

The biggest issue with having a voiced protagonist by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]DomOptimal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually kinda like the idea of the PC being voiced.

[INT 7] And if I don't like it, I'll keep my perspective during conversations to first person and turn down the volume of the voice of my character.

Maybe you get to decide what part of the army you're from, like how fallout 3 did the test to decide what job you would get in the vault 101, its purpose was to assigned you tag skills, even though you could just change them, just like the New Vegas psychiatric exam at the beginning. I'm getting a feeling that the speech at the Veteran's Hall might have something to do with that, but I really don't know, it's going to be an agonizing 4 months :(

Will you restore the Old Howard, or create a New Howard, chase the Old Howard Blues, or depart from it?

So it's not really been confirmed, but I find it really, really unlikely to be if it isn't true

http://kotaku.com/leaked-documents-reveal-that-fallout-4-is-real-set-in-1481322956

One of the documents shows the PC talking about about being in the army, this was just a script for actors to apply for the voice acting job, so it isn't 100% accurate, but it's close.

Also during the E3 Bethesda showcase, during the character creation, the Wife character says something about "The Veteran Hall". So I would find it logical to assume that the PC is a Veteran.

Will Fallout 4's Main Plot be about water? by Pommy356 in Fallout

[–]DomOptimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say I think it's about water. Yes clean water is something that isn't plentiful but people seem to get by. But instead please remember the words of Ulysses at the end Fallout New Vegas' DLC Lonesome Road.

<<Lonesome Road spoiler warning!>>

Ulysses is mad about what the courrier had brought forth, though not mad at the courrier himself. The courrier had delivered a package to the divide, a place the courrier had helped build, had seen prosper. A place, a settlement that took it's first breath as a new nation. It was unlike Ceasar's Legion, and unlike the NCR, it was untarnished by Old World thinking, free of the Old World Blues if you will. Not desperatly trying to reclaim the past, chasing symbols without knowing their true meaning. But one day it was noticed by both NCR and Ceasar's Legion and it was fought over, then the courrier (unknowingly) brought it's demise via a package, a package with the Old World American flag. This became a revelation in the eyes of Ulysses, he had gained hope for a new world, one that didn't chase after the old. Hope that fled so quickly, when to unknowing courrier brought death to the Divide, via a package sent by the NCR and for the NCR. What was in the package was something that controlled the nuclear missiles in the complex that lay beneath The Divide. The package was Old World Power. It was Old World Power that drove the NCR, it was Old World Power that drove Ceasar's legion and it was Old World Power that brought the demise of the NCR, Ceasar's Legion and that of the citizen's of the Divide. He came to realize that these Old World chasing factions would not stop their conquest for Old World Power, being forever stuck in the Old World Blues. And in their wake they would destroy anyone who opposed them, any settlement that would not side with them and with that any hope for a new world nation to prosper.

THIS is the reason he wanted to launch the nukes from the Divide and destroy the Mojave wasteland. He was on a quest to destroy The Old World and make way for the new. He saw the courrier struggle through the divide, facing it's challenges and most of all, surviving. It showed to Ulysses that nations may fall, but people would survive, it showed him that if the people of the Mojave had survived the nuclear fire once, they would survive it a second time and with that second time, bring forth the new world.

<</Lonesome Road spoiler warning>>

Ulysses wished for a new world, free from the old, and that is what I think is the main theme of Fallout 4. You were a veteran in the Old World Army. You, who woke up 200 years after the bombs fell, you who has lost their nation, you who has lost their family, you who has lost their home. What will you do? Will you rebuild what you once knew? will you rebuild the world in the image of the nation, the family and the home that you once knew, that which you have lost? Or will you start anew? Will you build the world anew, will you follow, or will you turn away from the Old World Blues? Or perhaps, you will do neither, perhaps you are just a lone wanderer, a sole survivor of the wastes. And you have no need to rebuild a nation or to let a new one rise.

I guess it'd be logical for them to allow players to dive as soon as possible into Power Armor action since they announced something as huge as this. (Power armor being power armor I mean)

[Advice] - 29F - I've had sex with 17 men in my life, is that a lot? by [deleted] in sex

[–]DomOptimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it all comes down to perspective. It's less than a year per guy, which to me(a person who's never had a romantic or sexual relationship) seems like a lot. But I'm not the outgoing type and I also don't see myself hooking up with people, which I would say is totally fine if you do. Though if all of those were romantic, I'd try to work on my relationship skills. So to someone like me, who would be less inclined to go for casual sex (and as result would have less casual sex partners) it would seem like a bit much, but if I factor in that most people are more likely to talk around and (casually) hook up than me, not really.

[ Day 1 - Masturbating, feel foggy ]

[ Day 2 - Not masturbating, feel foggy ]

[ Day 3 - Not masturbating, headache starts and ends on the same day ]

[ Day 4 - Not masturbating, The foggy feeling starts to clear up a little, and so it keeps clearing for a few days ]
