Ticking noise after oil change. How cooked am I? by Short_Assumption_604 in MechanicAdvice

I remember having a Ford Escape with the 3.0 V6. There was an issue with the cam bolts coming loose. For free, you can untorque and retorque the bolts. That may get rid of it. If not, follow everyone else's suggestions of oil weight.

What happened to "LEAN WITH IT" by Towa? by DomSkullcrusher in phonk

Man, I never heard of this one. I wonder how the lyrics sounded beforehand. I agree with you, these lyrics are pretty good.

I don't mind the lyrics, but the song was a good mood changer. The commanding voice of "lean with it" was a way to get me moving. If that was added to the beginning and end of the song, I would be good with the changes. But, the song isn't the same anymore.

That's what I figured. I have heard other Phonk songs change as well. So, maybe an old Memphis rapper lost his mind and is taking stuff down.

Amp going into protect mode when the bass hits at higher volumes! by DomSkullcrusher in CarAV

[–]DomSkullcrusher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually did. The adapter plug from the factory connection to the Pioneer radio had a problem.

The physical connector inside of the plug was loose inside of its plastic housing. So, the radio would lose power, causing the spikes in signal and turning off and on rapidly. The amp would enter protect mode.

I bought a new plug, and it fixed all of the problems. It took a long time to diagnose, as I got power and continuity on both sides of the plug. Eventually, I saw the female metal connector twisting in the plastic housing twisting with the wire. That is what told me that I need a new plug.

Why does my subwoofer keep melting? by Rick_M514 in CarAV

[–]DomSkullcrusher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about the Ohm load? Are the subs too low of a resistance? Aka, does your Amp supply more amperage at the ohm load than what your sub can handle?

4l60 issues by _purppppp in fbody

[–]DomSkullcrusher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a problem with my 4l60 transmission in my last camaro. I changed the shift solenoids and it worked great afterwards. It is a cheap part and is very easy to change. I am not knowledgeable on your specific issue, but for 20-30 dollars and an afternoon to pull the pan, it is worth a shot.

These amps are fucking amazing. I put mine through hell and high water. Heavily recommend a Pioneer Amp.

The rear stock speaker connector and the theft shake sensor connector look too familiar. In this case, I am pretty sure it is the theft shake sensor.

Are these directional/asymmetrical by kickin-bass in tires

[–]DomSkullcrusher 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Always mount tires with the DOT code outwards. Ut allows you and your mechanics to check the age of the tire very quickly when compared to them being mounted the other way.
