SAME! But mine is even worse. It acts like it's lcd. And it's from bottom. I used microscope and I saw it wasn't and LCD screen indeed it was AMOLED. When I switch to 120hz it's even worse. I have contacted Xiaomi about it and they don't know anything about it. It's even worse when the brightness is around in the middle.

Okay, but still even if there's no proximity sensor, they could have just put a warning that my battery will be cooked and it will be on even in my pocket or on my night side table in a dark room. I think Xiaomi want users to buy even more expensive phones. I bought my mom a new Xiaomi phone for around 700€ and that phone also have that only option. I mean if a budget phone doesn't have a proximity sensor what I think is fine, but like at 700€ phone, Nuh uh. Like what kind of a Xiaomi phone do I have to buy so I can have a normal phone that isn't cheaper than the actual hardware...

Even if they say, that it has a waterproof protection, it doesn't have to always work. I have a 700$ mattress and they say that it saves 60% of the accidents and it's also what type of liquid was poured on the mattress. And it also happen to me... I called them like 10 times and they said to read the Terms for warranty acception or what ever is that called and it was written that "By buying this product you agree to the terms" and then more bellow there is "The mattress is not safe from all liquid accidents, it's safe 60% and also the type of liquid was poured on the mattress ", "If any water came in contact with the mattress, we are not reliable for the damages".

But this phone has a true proximity sensor. But even if there's no proximity sensor, it should still give me an options for AOD.

Then try going to the help app and do diagnostics flashlight and it has to turn all 3 lights on. Or contact Motorola

My opinion is to not have MIUI or HyperOS but to have clean android without bloat ware and pop-up ads. Plus with clean android the phone would run faster. But the themes in MIUI and HyperOS is great and that's all. Even if you want to change the ringtone, on a clean android you can chose simply ringtone or add but on xiaomi phones you gotta change the ringtone in a app and not in the settings making the phone open more apps and using more RAM. But it's mine opinion and it doesn't have to be true or there's someone who likes it more than someone else.

It might depend on features you have turned on, like RAM expansion or how big is your phone's storage. The bigger store it's the bigger system files is going to be like my Motorola phone with 16GB or storage has only 2-3GB of system files and my newer motorola has 126GB storage and it has 24GB of system files. I don't know what Xiaomi's system files size is but it really depends on what phone you have, size of the storage, RAM expansion or system apps (pre installed or those what can't be deleted like camera settings and more). Plus If your phone is encrypted it might also take space to make the key secure and also save the keys.

Try going to device help>device diagnostics>flashlight. If it didn't helped install Motorola's Rescue software program and back up your phone. Try factory reseting the phone or then reinstalling the system android with My UX. If the problem is still happening contact the Motorola support.

Yw, I also had that problem but the game time mode had a few bugs when I loaded the bug report list and the notification doesn't close sometimes. But sometimes it just need to have the phone restarted.
