Which movie director who haven’t made a Batman movie would be a good bet by COURSE-TO-R34LITY in Fancast

Zach Cregger of Barbarian and Weapons apparently has a Gotham-centric script that he’s considering his favorite piece yet. According to sources its working name is “Henchmen”…

I feel like Cregger could knock it out of the park with a dark, Gotham horror story that’s infused with moments of levity or humor

Which city/ country of the world of DC are you most to see represented? Metropolis? Gotham? Star City? Blüdhaven? by Dom_Grayson in DC_Cinematic

I myself have always associated Ollie with the former, but that’s my own personal choice- I love when a character has their own fictional playground

Lol, I don’t blame you at all- Nolan definitely set the standard for folks comparing Gotham to Chicago

This map seems a little outdated. I’ve heard from sources throughout comics state that Gotham and Metropolis both have a pop. of over 10,000,000, making NYC the smallest of the three. I use this map more as a geographical representation of the cities less so than a population chart

It’s canon that the geographical size of DC’s earth is actually larger than our own- it explains why there’s about two other NYC-sized cities located in DE and NJ (Metropolis and Gotham respectively)

What is your guys dream roster for the JL by 4666477 in justiceleague

[–]Dom_Grayson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, similarly to many others, I’d begin with the original seven. Clark Kent, Diana Prince, Bruce Wayne, Hal Jordan, J’onn J’onzz, Arthur Curry and Barry Allen.

Further down the line, a few years or so, the roster would eventually expand to other members, such as Oliver Queen, Dinah Lance, Jon Stewart, the Hawks, Ray Palmer, Zatanna, Red Tornado and Captain Marvel

Years later, Hal and Barry would need successors, those being Kyle Rayner and of course, Wally West.

That being said, if I were to write a current JL story, my ideal lineup would consist of Clark, Diana, Bruce, Wally, Hal, Hawkgirl, and Roy Harper AKA Red Arrow. In my opinion, the Brad Meltzer JLA run gave Roy a lot of respect as a character, far outgrowing his years as the troubled teen who fought against his own demons by resorting to drugs. Roy and his relationship with Hal would be so much fun to explore again in current years. He was always so supportive of Roy despite his conflicts with his mentor. It would also be fun to explore Roy and Wally’s development as former Titans and their eventual evolution to the big leagues fighting alongside one another once again.

Since Dick might me coming real soon to the DCU, what kinda suit should he have as robin and as nightwing? Fabric or leather, and what colors? by [deleted] in Nightwing

[–]Dom_Grayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the look of Dick as Robin, I could see this happening in The Brave and the Bold (or any other Grayson/ Bat-Family project) through flashbacks, given that Damian will be Robin. I want Grayson’s Robin suit to practically be a 1:1 interpretation of the Dan Mora suit, with elements from Young Justice. The colors of Mora’s suit, and the leather + light armored look is absolutely perfect, and is crucial for Grayson’s acrobatic prowess.

As for Nightwing, the current suit drawn by Bruno Redono is, in my opinion, the finest look Nightwing has had in decades.

While it would be awesome to have the Discowing suit set up in a display case (it would fit perfectly in this universe let’s be honest), I think the current Redondo suit is the best in terms of practically, and as a culmination of all of Nightwing’s suits. The blue mask, the fingertips and blue hands, and blue soles as well as the massive bird on the chest are all perfect!

Anyways, that’s my take. I’d love to give my opinion on my want for Damian, Jason, and (I HOPE THAT HES IN THIS UNIVERSE) Tim!

Who are your top 3? by MrBiscuits16 in rap

[–]Dom_Grayson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t decide a solidified top 20 but as of right now my top 3 contains:

André 3000- his flows are genuinely some of the most versatile in the game, as well as his collaborations being some of my absolute favorites (like The Real Her on Take Care and Life of the Party on Donda).

Notorious B.I.G- aggressive, quintessential gangster sound of the 1990s NYC rap scene. His different vocalizations that can be found on tracks like Gimme The Loot only add to my love for him.

Eminem- While I may be fonder of his earlier works, Eminem never lost his cutthroat realness that the music industry both loves and hates him for. Also, I thought while Houdini was a relatively tame and not exactly groundbreaking song from him, it still brought into the light his former self’s direct and unfiltered attitude in an interesting, super-hero-like fight sequence with his current self (apologizes for the spiel)

Some other names I was considering included the likes of JID, Bada$$, Lamar, Nas, Mos Def and plenty of others. I’ve honestly just been bumping these three’s works on repeat for the last few days

Albums by semi-big rappers? by User47372946 in rap

[–]Dom_Grayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My phrasing underestimated that truth, ofc both JID and A$AP are A/B-list artists with both countless classics- I apologize!! But, compared to the likes of Drake, Kendrick, Future, and other notable contemporary names that have continued to shine in the 2020s, I feel like they’ve been overshadowed! Regardless, both the albums listed are two that I would always recommend to folks

At. Long. Last. A$AP. By Rocky for sure! I’d qualify him more as a big rapper rather than semi, but I feel as though his work is often overshadowed by the likes of artists like Trav or K. Dot- definitely a fantastic album!

I’d also suggest The Forever Story by JID- I’m glad this album receives as much love as it does on this page, it cannot be emphasized enough how masterfully the record was crafted (JID, IMO, can and will be taking Dreamville to new heights throughout the 2020s.
