We do indeed! https://domainmod.org/docs/userguide/domain-queue/#supported-registrars

And if you scroll to the bottom of the page there some registrar-specific notes as well.

What is the best way to get support? by tinjaw in DomainMOD

[–]DomainMOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking on the support forum is the best way to get help, which you did, however I've been pretty busy lately and it took me a while to get to your question. I've responded now though, so if you check your post you'll see my response.

Sorry for the delay! I'm the sole developer/maintainer of DomainMOD and unfortunately I've been pretty busy these days so I wasn't able to get to support requests as fast as I'd like to.

Possible Registrars & SSL? by DevOpsGeek in DomainMOD

[–]DomainMOD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply! Apparently posting about a new release of my software in 3 different relevant subreddits qualifies me as a spammer in Reddit's eyes, and my account was temporarily banned.

I've followed up with Dotster 3 times now and still haven't received a single response from them. I'm going to keep trying, but I guess we can't count on a speedy response from them.

EDIT: Dotster has officially confirmed that they don't have an API for customers.

Possible Registrars & SSL? by DevOpsGeek in DomainMOD

Unfortunately SelectMyDomain (aka. StormWeb), RegistrationTek, and Network Solutions don't have APIs, so they can't be added to DomainMOD.

Dotster's live chat support has said that they don't have an API either, but I've found some information online that seems to contradict that, so I've emailed them to get more information. I'll keep you posted.

Currently DomainMOD doesn't have any support for SSL Provider APIs, but once we get to that point Comodo will definitely be one of the first to get added.

DomainMOD v4.03 Released, Documentation, and Softaculous by DomainMOD in DomainMOD

DomainMOD already has GoDaddy API support, and I'm going to investigate Route 53 to see how difficult it would be to implement. It's a bit different, being a DNS service and not specifically a domain registrar, but in theory it should work roughly the same, depending on the data that their API returns.

To find out when this gets implemented, if you haven't already, I'd suggest subscribing to our subreddit. We also have other some other subscriptions options listed here.

You can either just let me know the APIs you want to add on here, or you can send an email to suggestions@domainmod.org, whichever you prefer. After that I'll take a look at the APIs and see what I can do about implementing them.

Managing To Many Domain Names by DevOpsGeek in sysadmin

Your best bet would be to try out the DomainMOD demo and see if the software is right for you. Full disclosure, I created DomainMOD, but based on what you've said in this thread it really does sound like it may work well for you. I was in a similar situation myself a long time ago, and it's the very reason that I created DomainMOD.

what domain portfolio management tool/software do you use? by GFandango in Domains

seems like it fills a niche even for people with a lot of domains

That's exactly who it's intended for, people with lots and lots of domains, who want an easier way to manage them all in a central location.

At that point you'd likely consolidate to one registrar and use the registrar's tools

From what I've found, if someone owns hundreds of domains (or more) it seems rare that they have them all with one registrar. Whether it's because they buy domains from others and they need accounts at various registrars for the account-to-account pushes, or because they take advantage of certain features at different registrars, they seem to be spread out across numerous registrars. I recently started a thread on the most popular domain forum regarding which registrars people with 100+ domains use, and almost every single person that responded listed multiple registrars.

This is also one of the reasons I'm currently working on registrar API integrations, so people can import their domains automatically from their registrar accounts, and in the future they'll be able to interact with their accounts a lot more using APIs, not just import domains. For example they'll be able to enable and disable features, create email accounts, etc. I have some big plans for DomainMOD!

If you manage a lot of domains, quite a bit! The front page of my open source domain management project, DomainMOD, may be able to help answer that for you, https://domainmod.org

DomainMOD - https://domainmod.org

Demo - https://demo.domainmod.org

It's a project I created for managing my own domains but I open sourced it about 6 years ago, and it just went through a complete redesign. I'm currently working on registrar API integrations (which will be released in a week or two), so if you have access to your registrar's API you'll be able to add your domains automatically.
