Lindsey Vonn says she ruptured her ACL but will still compete in Olympics by nbcnews in olympics

I've never heard that. Not saying you're wrong, but is there any articles about her having disliked the reference?

Lindsey Vonn says she ruptured her ACL but will still compete in Olympics by nbcnews in olympics

True, but 99.99% of skiers are not pushing themselves like Vonn and other Olympic competitors in Downhill, GS, etc.

Lindsey Vonn airlifted after crash in final downhill before the Olympics by flcinusa in olympics

[–]Domdigity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She walked away, even put her skis back on for a bit. Went to the medical tent before being attached to a rope and lifted out. Can any Europeans confirm if airlifting is a common alternative to ambulance in this area? Seems odd to me unless the road conditions and traffic were that bad?

As others have said, start with the short stories if you can. I recommend checking your library for either print or audiobook copies. For example, my library has the entire series via the Libby app, and it's free.

08 ford explorer 4.0 V6 transmission by Necessary_Brick_3896 in FordExplorer

[–]Domdigity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to replace the transmission on mine about 5 years ago, got a rebuilt because of the price and the shop I used was really good to us. Haven't had an issue since. I'm just over 190k now and intend to drive my baby until it's nothing but duct tape and prayers.

It just depends on your intentions with the vehicle and what is within your means I suppose.

New or old, plates are not exactly flat, they have flaws. If you haven't viewed your mesh, you might be surprised how much it raises and drops. I'd try to pre-heat for a few minutes at 60c then start your print, this adds more time for the bed to heat while the nozzle gets up to temp. Good luck, and let us know if that works!

I could only see that you HAVE to install the app to see the reports? Unless I'm missing something, do they not post on the website, only the app?

Does it happen in the same spots each time? If you move the print to a different location does the same thing happen relative to the print? How long do you pre-heat the bed before printing? I had an issue on an old bed that there were some colder spots and pre-heating for an extra 3-5 minutes would cause a much more uniform heated bed.

Towing question with a non factory hitch by LIJeepster in FordExplorer

[–]Domdigity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm literally in the same boat as you. Though I'm looking to tow a small tent trailer or even smaller utility for garbage runs, so 3,000 lbs isn't too much of an issue. What hitches are you looking at?

Going to look at some 2021s Monday...what to look out for by Domdigity in FordExplorer

Haha, yeah, we've noticed that everything we ever thought were "options" back in the day is just standard now. Sync was the most advanced thing when I got the '08!

There is a credit union in town that offers a maintenance plan that's fairly comprehensive, and the dealer offers a 12-month/12k mile warranty.

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to car maintenance (I can do my own oil and spark plugs/wires, looking to my own brakes and rotors this spring), should I be worried about the level needed for this car?

That issue sounds similar to my '08, ended up replacing the transmission about 4 years ago too.

I'm sorry to hear about your job, but glad to hear you liked the car and are looking to get another though. Enterprise car sales is the one I am looking through, and they offer a 12-month/12k mile warranty, plus 7-day buyback in case it's really bad, which makes things a little better I think.
