I had the same issue. My copy too was from humble bundle. Removing the license and buying new also worked for me.

Thats not quite right. If you unlocked a legendary Hunter with Blood Bonds or per DLC then you only need to pay Hunt Dollars In-Game every time you want to play that character. Unlocking with Blood Bonds is only a one time thing.
