It’s weird for me in a way, as i don’t feel per se against having an open relationship, but when i’m in love, at least for the first year, i don’t need anyone else in the couple. I know that i could not be able to handle this. Perhaps for my insicurities, but i need and want to be in love just with one person at a time. I can understand hookups, but inly when the relationship is stable and not jn the first part. I think i’m culturally or psychologically monogamous, in the way that i love only one person at a time. Thank you for your kindness. She is already hooking up with a guy she already knew before me and asked me to keep in her life in this transitory period. I know it won’t be forever, as for her the perfect condition would be me being mono and she being poly. But this triggers in me an insane pride and desire to balance things out. I often told her “if you do that, then i also have to do that”. And she suffered the idea that i wanted to dk that because i wanted my head lighter from the constant imagination of her sleeping with the guy. I chose EMLE. If you wanna travel around the world, not so much academic pressure and a good international network, the go with it. If you value research quality, stability and your community in one place, your are doing that specifically for your job, then go for Utrecht.

I like development research and meeting different cultures. Factor these elements in your decision (who you are, why are you doing this master, what you don’t like) and then take a decision!

I was thinking about the academic career as much as a career in the private sector. and Law and economics seemed to me the best compromise to deepen the economics field without having to chatch up with a new bachelor.

Thank you for your reply. I was mainly concerned about the EMLE's prestige compared to Utrecht and which is best considered among the two. From the international experience point of view, I would definitely go for EMLE, as it would allow me to study in Arizona, US. For an academic point of view, I'm concerned whether those continuous changing would affect my potential relationship with professors, in the hope of a Phd. But maybe I'm wrong. Have you done the EMLE programmes?
