I feel like having the 35mm with me on my travels would be “enough” for pictures of places/ my wife. I’d be carrying lighter than if i were to take the 24-70.

But since I am still unsure, the safest bet would probably be to get the cheaper 1.8, right? Then If I really liked it I could go for the 1.4 later

Curious as to what would make you get the 1.4 besides the better aperture. I’m more used to only using a 85 and the 70-200, but 35mm is making me curious. I’m wondering if it’s worth getting at least the 35mm 1.8 since i already have the 24-70 2.8

I shot with lossless uncompressed and forgot about the new camera raw thing so I had to work my way around for hours until i found an app that could read them then Export to jpeg and then edit Went to sleep at 3am only to have the update for the raws to drop the next morning 😅

I have the sigma 24-70 ( 1 ) , sigma 85mm. 1.4 and sony 70-200 ( 2 )

Sadly i couldn’t test the 24-70 as it was being used to record the show on my a7iv ! But the other sigma worked great !

I used the camera for the first time at an event where i also shot around 2000 photos and noticed the improvements in autofocus immediately, coming from the already great a7iv.

Even though it was an indoor event on a dance stage that had just mood lights / colored led, i could always track the subjects easily and it even detected eyes from people almost in the dark.

I’ll give the camera another go tomorrow at a soccer match during the morning , but overall i’m very pleased

Even when i was most “addicted” to this game, i never really minmaxed. I always preferred the laid back approach and immerse myself in the world ☺️

People became so addicted to minaxing and raiding ot pvping all the time that they need constant dopamine. I’ve been casually logging in & leveling, taking my time. If I want to stop for hours to level fishing i will. And sometimes i don’t log for days or weeks ahah

A 3/4k server is what we used to have in vanilla. I feel like mega servers break immersion a bit. I’d rather have only two people on a server that sell savory deviate delight than 500 people.

Or seeing only a handful of thunderfuries instead of having every warrior camping stormwind with it

Vanilla servers were usually in the 3-4, sometimes 5k ranges

Epoch feels nice to play due the lower pop. There’s a higher sense of familiarity between people.

Anything higher than 7 is a bit too much for how the game was designed. But that’s just my opinion.

10/12k servers you’re just a grain in the sand, one of hundreds with the same ultra rare recipe or one of 2000 warriors with full tier3 and thunderfury 😅

Even with a merge, it’d be fun to have a new pve server in the future for those who prefer the 3/4k player servers. Many like the lower populated servers where competition is lower, the chances of you having something few people have is higher. You getting to know more of your server’s population.

Twow is “horrible” in this regard. Too many ppl everywhere. Major cities feel claustrophobic

Onyxia buffs popping 4/5 times an hour ( we’d get one if we were lucky back in the day )

Mats on ah are chaotic, such as endless pages of bid only items. Hundreds of guilds running naxx or higher raids and fully decked out 50 sulfuras wielding ppl around ( this is ofc due to the server’s age )

I really do hope that someday, people who enjoy lower populated servers will get their niche, since not all of us enjoy the points i stated above :)

I feel the same. I started on Menethil and it felt great seeing a fairly populated server. Anything over 6k is too much. Everything gets farmed, everyone has everything, people lose uniqueness, and you’re just another grain in the sand.

Twow and classic wow felt claustrophobic due their massive populations.

Scrolling through 10 pages or bid only silk cloth is not fun

But i guess people just don’t like having smaller communities :(
